The Monster Midwest Series for UMP Late Models will be making their first ever appearance at Quincy Raceways on Sunday, August 23. The series features a $2000 to Win, $200 to start 40 lap feature event for some of the best UMP Late Model Drivers in the Midwest. The series points leaders are Ryan Unzicker and Eric Smith tied for first followed by Jason Feger, Dennis Erb Jr. and Frank Heckenast Jr. all of which finished in the top eleven, except for Smith at Quincy Raceways UMP Summernationals event in July. Jason Feger and Dennis Erb Jr. are locked in a tight battle for the UMP National Points Championship with Feger up by a few points. Several local drivers including Denny Woodworth and Mark Burgtorf as well as others are expected to compete in this event which should draw a large field on entrants.

All four Quincy Raceways regular weekly classes, Budweiser IMCA Late Models, Miller Lite UMP Modifieds, Triple R Performance Engines IMCA Stock Cars and the Tim’s Machine Shop Hobby Stocks will also be competing for increased purse payout. The final weeks of points racing at Quincy Raceways is rapidly coming to a close with all four points races being extremely tight and the championships will be determined in the final two nights of racing.
