#22 Darrel Moser wins first ever Weber Chevrolet FASTRAK Late Model weekly series event at Montgomery County Speedway. John Barr Photo

NEW FLORENCE, MO (April 15) – Steve Grotz took an early lead in the 25 lap Budweiser UMP late model feature only to be passed by Jim Durbin halfway through the event. Durbin went on to hold off charges by Ken Rumble and Steve Grotz to win the opening night race of Montgomery County Speedway's sixth season of operation.

Rounding out the top 5 in the Budweiser UMP Late Model divison were: 1. 3D Jim Durbin 2. 87 Ken Rumble 3. 22G Steve Grotz 4. 33 Keith Pratt 5. 51 Steve Shive..

In the Miller UMP A-Modified division Gary Archambauld held off repeated charges by Leroy Haney and Jason Pritz to win the opening night feature event Gary Archambauld also won his heat race to sweep the events in UMP A-Modified Division.

Rounding out the top 5 were: 1. N1 Gary Archambauld 2. 14h Leroy Haney 3. 15 Jason Pritz4. 41M Brent Mullins 5.T0 Tim Hancock.

In the B-Modified division 2005 B-Modified Champion Craig Roden picked up where he left off in dominating the nights action and winning the opening night feature event. Craig Roden also won his heat race as well as the feature to sweep the events of the eveingin.

Rounding out the top 5 in the B-Modified class were: 1. 27 Craig Roden 2. 6M Ron Massman3. 12 Dan Bimson 4. 17 Brian Kinnaird 5. 23 Tim Barrett

Beau Davis traded the lead with Buddy Lowry until making a late race pass that cemented his win in the first feature of the 2006 season in the Pepsi Super Street division. Beau also won his heat race to round out a sweep of the events in the Super Street Divion.

Rounding out the top 5 in the Pepsi Super Street division were: 1. 01 Beau Davis2. 8E Steve Edgecomb 3. 18L Buddy Lowry 4. 3 Craig Bessinger 5. 8L Ed Lowry

Darrel Moser held off repeated challenges from Eric Rudd to pick up the first ever Weber Chevrolet FASTRAK Late Model weekly series event at MCS. The crate late model series is the newest addition to the Montgomery County Speedway weekly schedule.

A round up of the top five cars are as follows: 1. 22 Darrel Moser 2. 28 Eric Rudd 3. 01 Bubb Mitchell 4. 7L Steve Long 5. 4 David Miller

Dave Wofford Jr. the 2005 RAMS Mini Stock Track Champion returned to his winning ways by sweeping the events in opening night action. Dave Wofford Jr.led the feature from start to finsh to win the first feature event of the season.

Rounding out the top 5 finishers in the RAMS Mini Stock division were: 1. 0 Dave Wofford 2. 50 Dave Thompson 3. 20 Jack Tschannen 4. 48 Kelly LaGarce 5. 42 Lane Ehlert.
