Center Line, Mich. - The Tony Stewart Racing Enterprises duo of Josh Wise and Jay Drake is geared up and ready to go for this weekend's USAC National Sprint Car Series "Border Wars" competition. After weeks of rainouts and inclement weather, both Wise and Drake are anxious to get back to racing.

That is, if Mother Nature decides they're ready.

"Man, that Mother Nature needs to cut us a little slack," Drake said.
"Doesn't she know that we need to race? I can only run so many laps on video games.
Plus, the more time off we get, the less work there is to be done on the cars.
Not to mention that Heidi, my wife, keeps finding things for me to work on for her. Please, make it stop!"

Drake, who captured the "Border Wars XX" title in 2004, will make his first dirt track run in the No. 21 Tony Stewart Racing Enterprises machine this weekend. The weekend's events will also continue Drake's defense of his 2004 USAC National Sprint Car Series championship.

"Eldora is my favorite track," Drake said. "I'm excited to get to continue to race for Tony Stewart, especially at his new track. We're really looking forward to getting back to Eldora, and we're especially looking forward to seeing if we can repeat our Border Wars title with Mopar power in 2005."

Fellow Californian Wise will make his first "Border Wars" appearance for Tony Stewart Racing Enterprises, as well as make his debut on the dirt in the No.
20 machine. This weekend's events will also see Wise resume his hunt for the
2005 USAC "Triple Crown" title.

"I have absolutely nothing good to say about Indiana weather," quipped Wise earlier this week. "We never can get race day to fall on a day with good weather. Hopefully, we'll get a break this weekend."

In addition to wishing for a dry day, Wise is hoping that Tony Stewart Racing Enterprises can pick up the first USAC National Sprint Car Series win for Tony Stewart.

"It would be awesome if Jay or I could get a win at Eldora this weekend, especially now that Tony owns the track," Wise said. "To have one of us pick up the first USAC Sprint Car win of the season at his racetrack would be really cool. He does so much for us that it would be great to be able to make him proud and to be able to give something back to him."
