Motor Question

Ok Guys ,

Im having troubles.

Fouling plugs like Sh*t

This is what i have done.

Tried A/C R44 TS / R45 TS ....... Autolites- #26 FOULED them as soon as I Fired motor. Set gap at .045

I had battery charger on to make sure i had a hot battery.

I have a new cable going from battery to motor also have a one from frame to motor.

Checked float it was alittle high , but adjusted it back down to where it just runs out.

RECHECKED TIMING !

I put New plugs in , fired motor. I pulled plugs after it ran a few minutes , ran motor up to around 4500 rpms an shut motor off.Plugs are a Dry black color, the whole tip. I noticed when motor was running looked under and seen Black smoke coming from both sides. The smell , smells like to rich The jets are 72. When motor is running it makes your eyes burn. Fuel pump is stock.so pressure shouldnt be high.

What am i not finding ?

sounds like you are to rich at idle, try to adjust you air/idle screws on the side of the carb at the metering block.if you have a c@s call them and they can get you close, on our old aerosol you ran them all the way in then backed them out 3/4 of a turn and fined tu it from there.

sounds like a power valve problem try a 5.5 if its to lean idle or 4.5 if still to lean

72 jets are prob to small also may not notice now but youll be meltin those plugs later
