Just a reminder for all coming to Mt. Vernon tonight on I-57. The train derailment on I-57 has the interstate shut down from West Frankfort to Whittington, you will need to take an alternate route, such as Rt. 37 to Whittington and then cut back over to I-57.
 
I called the Franklin Co. Sheriff they said South bound is open & North bound is close for about four hr. this was at 12:30 PM
