is mtvernon even going to have one this year ? id like to go see my dad d. newcomb go get his first track campionship trophey.im surr everyone else deserving their trophey would like to have them too.atleast post back and lett everyone know something even if it disappoints us all.
 
You're right, Jay. Your dad is very deserving of the trophy. I'd like to see it, too. Darn nice guy that put forth the effort to be at the track with a good-running car every week. Would also like a banquet (would be my 1st), but I guess we have to keep in mind that it wasn't Jim, Brandon and Sean's track last year, so there shouldn't be any feeling of obligation on their part. Still would be cool, though. Maybe just a brief trophy presentation at the intermission of the first racing weekend?? Just a thought.
 
i gues noone that had anything to do whith the track past or present will even coment on this one . see ya next year at mtv
 
I am checking on this. I also feel everyone deserves to be honored for their efferts in 2006. Again, I will see what I can find out.

Just looking to recognize everyone's efforts from last year.
Didn't mean to sound like we don't appreciate the track's opening this year.
 
the only time a none heck wins the campionship except for the first one and no trophy or banquett!!!!!!!!
 
well im glad mtv aint going to change much . instead of everyone worring about late modles now there worried about just crates.
 
Why dont you just call Rick Heck and ask him. Last year they didnt have the banquet until the 3rd week of March. Relax a little bit.
 
Track Champions

This is the same reason why the track champions from mt vernon are not talked about like they are at tracks such as highland ,I-55 ,charelston ,tri city. They never get in a hurry to have a banquet if they even have one .
CCS doesnt have one either but at least the last night of the year they did give out trophys dont know about any money.Rodney or matt has never got any credit for being the track champion and how many between the two have they one in the last 5 years lets hope it gets better.But like i said before at least they will be open to race thats what its all about .
 
hey how about now its the first week of april and there supost to be racing.hows about the first or second night of racing they just hand out trophs and give them the respect they diservefor racing there all of last year!
