Soggy Bottom Speedway and Barren County Speedway To Host NARA Battle of the Bluegrass Modified Series Events on July 24 and July 25

Lexington, KY-July 20- The NARA Battle of the Bluegrass Modified Series will have a double-header of open-wheel racing action this weekend with an appearance on Saturday night, July 24, at Soggy Bottom Speedway in Morgantown, KY and then head down the road on Sunday evening, July 25, for the Kevin Farmer Memorial event at Barren County Speedway in Glasgow, KY.

On Saturday night, July 24, the "BoB Mod Squad" will share top billing with the NARA Battle of the Bluegrass Late Models at Soggy Bottom Speedway. The Modified tour of the NARA has raced once already at Soggy Bottom this season back on May 22, with Jimmy Payne of Glasgow, KY taking the $1,500 payday in that event. Jimmy Westerfield, Russell Childress, and Trent Young are just a few of the "Soggy Bottom Boys" that will try and keep the cash in Western Kentucky. On Sunday night, July 25, the BoB Modifieds head down the road to the Barren County Speedway in Glasgow, KY. This will the first year Modified tour's first ever visit to the 32 year old South Central Kentucky facility that is the home of the Kentucky Klassic. Veteran Butch Shay of Louisville, KY is the current track point leader in the Modified division heading into this weekend's Kevin Farmer Memorial event. The event is being held in the late Mr. Farmer's memory, who was a frequent competitor at Barren County in the mid and late 1990's. The racing program each evening will consist of a complete program of Racing Optics Time Trials, Crown Spray Power Heats, O'Reilly Auto Parts B-mains, and a Lucas Oil A-main, paying $1,500 to win each event.
