MACON, IL (June 4, 2008) - As Macon Speedway co-owner Tony Stewart celebrates his “4th Annual Prelude to the Dream presented by Old Spice” victory, the second such title he boasts, at his own Eldora Speedway before a sold out crowd and via millions of HBO Pay-Per-View fans, Macon Speedway is pleased to announce the celebrity roster for their upcoming “Night of NASCAR Stars II presented by the U.S. Army”.

The small 1/5-mi, high-banked dirt oval is unique to other tracks in the region and has been revitalized thanks to NASCAR track owners Tony Stewart, Kenny Wallace, Ken Schrader and veteran promoter Bob Sargent. The team will bring eighteen prominent names in NASCAR to Macon Speedway on Thursday, June 12, 2008, for the 2nd NASCAR Night of the 2008 season.

The U.S. Army-sponsored racing action includes the NASCAR gang competing in a full bill of UMP Modified competition as well as a full program for UMP Sportsman and Street Stocks. Previous winners Kenny Wallace (NASCAR Modified), Dave Smith (Sportsman) and Steve Ewing (Street Stock) will seek to defend their honors.

Gates open at 3:00 p.m. with qualifying at 6:30 p.m. and racing promptly following at 7:00 p.m. General admission tickets are $25 and kids 12 & under passes are only $5. Pit passes for competitors/crew are also being offered for $25.
