NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division May 3 Round Up

CARTERSVILLE, GA – There is a new point leader in the NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division Presented By AR Bodies standings after Week 3 competition. Brandon Leftwich of Meridian, MS now holds a one-point lead over three drivers tied for the second spot.


Leftwich has one top five and two top ten finishes driving the STR Racing Chevrolet powered by a $3,195 Chevrolet Performance 602 Circle Track Engine in three races to accumulate 133 points. Leftwich also won a non-points race on Saturday night at Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, MS.


James Ware of West Point, MS, Mike Lane of Pace, FL, and David Windham of Florala, AL are all tied for the second spot in the NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock standings with 132 points. Ware drove the Peay’s Auto Salvage Chevrolet to a NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock win on Saturday night at Whynot Motorsports Park.


Lane has two top five finishes and three top ten finishes in three starts driving the Lane’s Vinyl Siding Chevrolet. Windham has two top five finishes and three top ten finishes in three NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division races driving the Florala Pharmacy Chevrolet.


Clint Vaughn of Odenville, AL holds the fifth spot in the NeSmith/AR Bodies standings with 125 points in the Vinson Race Engines Chevrolet. Vaughn has three top five finishes in three starts. Eddie Brannon of Anniston, AL and Jeffrey Walker of Meridian, MS are tied for the sixth spot with 117 points apiece.


Brannon has two top five finishes and three top ten finishes in three starts driving the Brannon Auto Chevrolet. Walker has driven the Shan’s Painting Chevrolet to one top five finish and two top ten finishes in three NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division starts.


Chris Reeves of Meridian, MS is eighth in the NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division standings with 110 points driving the Leftwich Plumbing Chevrolet powered by a Chevrolet Performance 602 Circle Track Engine. Reeves has one top ten finish in three starts. Scotty Vowell of Philadelphia, MS is ninth with 108 points after one top ten finish in three races driving the Scotty’s Recycling and Salvage Chevrolet.


Billy Arnett of Milton, FL and Phillip Haynes of Anniston, AL are tied for the tenth spot in the NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division standings with 98 points apiece. Arnett took the win on Saturday night at Southern Raceway in Milton, FL driving the Arnett Racing Chevrolet. Haynes drove the Jeff Owens & Associates Chevrolet to a third-place finish on Saturday night at Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL.


In other NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division Week 3 action, Jeremy Idom of Hattiesburg, MS drove the Performance Bodies throwback 1957 Chevrolet to the win on Friday night at Hattiesburg Speedway in Hattiesburg, MS. Jason Harrison of Montgomery, AL was the winner on Saturday night at Talladega Short Track driving the K&J Trucking Chevrolet powered by a Chevrolet Performance 602 Circle Track Engine.


Braden Harris of Molina, FL drove the Coastal Engine and Machine Chevrolet to victory on Saturday night at Flomaton Speedway in Flomaton, AL. Mickey Trosclair of Luling, LA was the NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division winner on Saturday night at St. Tammany Raceway in Lacombe, LA driving the Trosclair Racing Chevrolet.


A total of 112 drivers have earned points in the first three weeks of NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division competition.
