CARTERSVILLE, GA – NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division Presented By AR Bodies Week 19 action saw point leader Jeremy Idom of Hattiesburg, MS pick up his tenth win of the season on Friday night at Hattiesburg Speedway in Hattiesburg, MS driving the Performance Bodies “Throwback” 1957 Chevrolet.

Idom was able to net nine points and bring his best 14 week total up to 683 points after ten wins, 18 top five finishes and 19 top ten finishes in 21 races. Idom will be trying to replace his lowest weekly point total among his best 14 of 43 in the next NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division race he competes in.

With eight weeks to go in the 27-week NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division season, if Idom can score 50-point wins in four of those weeks, he can end up with a “Perfect Season” and total of 700 points.

The defending NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division National Champion Trey Bright of Coker, AL is holding off the engravers of putting Idom’s name on the Championship Trophy, as he took his sixth win of the season on Saturday night at Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, MS.

That victory moved Bright, who still has three more weeks to earn full points up to the tenth spot in the NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division points standings driving The Eaton Clinic Chevrolet powered by a $3,295 Chevrolet Performance 602 Circle Track Engine.

David Windham of Florala, AL did not compete in NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division Week 19 action, but he remains second in the standings with a best 14 week total of 658 points. In 21 races, Windham has one win, 16 top five finishes and 19 top ten finishes driving the Florala Pharmacy Chevrolet. Windham will be trying to net on a 41 in his next race.

Brandon Leftwich of Meridian, MS is third in the NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division standings with a best 14 week total of 644 points after ten top five finishes and 14 top ten finishes in 19 races driving the STR Race Cars Chevrolet powered by a Chevrolet Performance 602 Circle Track Engine.

Leftwich was able to net seven points after a third-place finish on Friday night at Hattiesburg Speedway and he will be trying to net on a 41 in his next race. Mike Lane of Pace, FL is fourth in the standings with 627 points, which will be his season total, as he is out for the rest of the season serving a suspension from NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division competition.

Branden Harris of Molino, FL used a third-place finish on Saturday night at Southern Raceway in Milton, FL in his last week to earn full points to move up to the fifth spot in the NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division standings with a 14 week total of 619 points.

In 16 NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division races, Harris has one win, ten top five finishes and 12 top ten finishes driving the Coastal Engine and Machine Chevrolet. Harris will be trying to net on a 25 in his next race.

Dean Shaw of Defuniak Springs, FL did not compete in NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division Week 19 action and dropped to sixth in the NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division standings with 577 points after one win, ten top five finishes and 12 top ten finishes in 13 races driving the S&S Electronic Chevrolet. Shaw has one more week to earn full points.

Phillip Haynes of Anniston, AL is seventh in the NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division standings with a best 14 week total of 574 points after one win, 12 top five finishes and 14 top ten finishes in 17 races driving the Jeff Owens & Associates Chevrolet. Haynes was able to net 20 points after a sixth-place finish on Saturday night at Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL. Haynes will be trying to net on a 25 in his next race.

Larry Faulk of Pace, FL did not compete in NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division Week 19 action and dropped to the eighth spot in the standings with a best 14 week total of 555 points after three wins, 12 top five finishes and 16 top ten finishes driving the L&H Construction Chevrolet powered by a Chevrolet Performance 602 Circle Track Engine. Faulk will be trying to net on a 41 in his next race.

James “Scooter” Ware of West Point, MS moved back into the Top 10 of the NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division point standings after a sixth-place finish on Saturday night at Whynot Motorsports Park in the Peay’s Auto Salvage Chevrolet. Ware landed in the ninth spot of the standings with 550 points after three wins, six top five finishes and eight top ten finishes with one more week to earn full points.

Bright rounds out the Top 10 of the NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division standings with 531 points after six wins, 11 top five finishes and 15 top ten finishes in 15 races. Bright still has three more weeks to earn full points.

In other NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division Week 19 action, Brock Love of Hokes Bluff, AL drove The Love Shack Chevrolet to his second win of the season on Saturday night at Talladega Short Track. Kindell Keating of Bogalusa, LA took his second win of the season on Saturday night at St. Tammany Raceway in Lacombe, LA driving The Ice House Chevrolet.

Stuart Wilson of Milton, FL picked up his third NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division win of the season on Saturday night at Southern Raceway in Milton, FL driving the Wilson Lumber Chevrolet powered by a Chevrolet Performance 602 Circle Track Engine.
