CARTERSVILLE, GA – NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division Presented By AR Bodies Week 20 action will feature nine races at eight different tracks in four different states. Week 20 competition will be highlighted by the Summer National Shootout on Saturday night at Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL with twin $1,000-to-win races.
The first $1,000-to-win race of the Summer National Shootout at Talladega Short Track on Saturday night will be a Week 10 Make-Up Race. At the completion of the first race, the finish of that event will make up the starting line for the second race, with the Top 10 finishers redrawing for their starting spots. The second $1,000-to-win race will award Week 20 points.
Friday night NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division events are scheduled for Hattiesburg Speedway in Hattiesburg, MS, Jackson Motor Speedway in Jackson, MS and Northwest Florida Speedway in Baker, FL.
In addition to the Talladega Short Track event, Saturday night NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division Week 20 events are also scheduled for Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, MS, Poplar Bluff Speedway in Poplar Bluff, MO, Southern Raceway in Milton, FL, and Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, MS.
Jeremy Idom of Hattiesburg, MS leads the NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division standings with a best 14 week total of 683 points after ten wins, 18 top five finishes and 19 top ten finishes in 21 races. Idom will be trying to net on the lowest weekly point total among his best 14 which is a 43 in Week 20 action.
With eight weeks left in the 2014 NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division 27-week season, Idom is also in good position to turn in a “Perfect Season” of 700 points that represent 14 50-point wins during the season.
