CARTERSVILLE, GA – Week 22 of the 2015 NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division Presented By AR Bodies season was a limited one, as many tracks took the week off for the running of the 3rd Annual Southern Street Stock Nationals at Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, MS. There were three races on the schedule with one rainout.
The NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division Friday night race at Whynot Motorsports Park was rained out, but there were three races on the schedule for Saturday night Week 22 action. With only one Top 10 driver in the standings netting points in Week 22, there were no change from last week.
Stuart Wilson of Milton, FL drove the Wilson Lumber Chevrolet powered by a $3,495 Chevrolet Performance 602 Circle Track Engine to his sixth win of the season with a 40-point victory at Northwest Florida Speedway in Baker, FL.
Brandon Kilpatrick of Jay, FL drove the Kilpatrick Racing Chevrolet to his third NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division win of the season at Southern Raceway in Milton, FL on Saturday night to close in on a Top 10 points fund-paying position. Kilpatrick is in the 11th spot, five points outside the Top 10.
Clint Vaughn of Odenville, AL picked up his fourth NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock win of the season on Saturday night with a 40-point victory at Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL driving the Bosma Farms Chevrolet powered by a $3,495 Chevrolet Performance 602 Circle Track Engine.
Richie Stephens of Salem, AL leads the NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division standings with a perfect best 14 week total of 700 points. Stephens has 18 wins, 22 top five finishes and 23 top ten finishes in 27 races driving the Rocketman Race Cars Chevrolet powered by a $3,495 Chevrolet Performance 602 Circle Track Engine.
Branden Harris of Molino, FL is second with a best 14 week total of 689 points. Harris has seven NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division wins, 16 top five finishes and 18 top ten finishes in 21 races driving the Coastal Engine and Machine Chevrolet powered by a $3,495 Chevrolet Performance 602 Circle Track Engine.
Brooks Strength of Raymond, MS is third with a best 14 week total of 688 points after ten wins and 16 top five finishes in 17 NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division races driving the Sauls Farm Chevrolet powered by a $3,495 Chevrolet Performance 602 Circle Track Engine. Strength is the only driver with a mathematical chance of beating Stephens for the National Championship.
Steve Pate of Odenville, AL is fourth in the standings with a best 14 week total of 675 points after two wins and 18 top five finishes in 18 races. Pate drove the Pate Racing Chevrolet to a fourth-place finish on Saturday night at Talladega Short Track. Bo Bailey of Milton, FL is fifth in the NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division standings with a best 14 week total of 662 points after two wins, 16 top five finishes and 20 top ten finishes in 21 races driving the L&L Construction Services Chevrolet.
