CARTERSVILLE, GA – The NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series has added a pair of 50-lap $2,500-to-win races to its 2014 Touring Division schedule on October 17 and 18 at Waycross Motor Speedway in Waycross, GA. Rounds 21 and 22 of the 2014 NeSmith Chevrolet DLMS season will be a part of the Waycross Motor Speedway’s “Showdown In The Swamp.”
The NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Touring Division will be making its first visit to Waycross Motor Speedway that is located in an area where the ten-year-old series has always had a big fan base that is looking forward to seeing “America’s Leader In Affordable Racing.”
“We’re looking forward to having the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series here at Waycross Motor Speedway and our fans are excited about getting to see something different,” Waycross Motor Speedway Promoter Darryl Courson said. “The Showdown In The Swamp is an annual event at Waycross Motor Speedway and the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series is going to be a great addition to this Fall tradition.”
The two Showdown In The Swamp races for the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series will also be the last two races before the series heads to Bubba Raceway Park in Ocala, FL on November 21-22 for the final points race of the season with the $10,000-to-win 10[sup]th[/sup] Annual Chevrolet Performance World Championship Race.
“The two Showdown In The Swamp races are right at the end of the season, and could most definitely play an important role in deciding the $10,000 NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series National Championship and the top ten points fund paying positions,” NeSmith Racing Communications Director Roby Helm said. “It should be a great field of race cars, as we always get good support from the South Georgia and North Florida drivers when we come to that part of the country.”
