CARTERSVILLE, GA – Week 19 of the 2014 NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series season could mark a changing of the guard at the top of the point standings. Adam Gauldin of Talladega, AL has led the points chase since Week 2 of the 2014 season, but that reign could come to an end this weekend. Chris Holley of Dayton, TX is on the move.

There are 11 NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series Week 19 Late Model races on the schedule of events with three on Friday night and eight on Saturday night. The Friday night Week 19 races will be at Greenville Speedway in Greenville, MS, Hattiesburg Speedway in Hattiesburg, MS, and Salina Speedway in Salina, KS.

Saturday night NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series Week 19 races will be at 411 Motor Speedway in Seymour, TN with a $1,000-to-win event, Arkadelphia Speedway in Bremen, AL, Battleground Speedway in Highlands, TX, Clayhill Motorsports in Atwood, TN, Greenville Speedway in Greenville, MS, St. Tammany Raceway in Lacombe, LA, Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL, and Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, MS.

Gauldin has reached the 14 week mark of his 2014 season and is currently netting points by trying to replace the lowest of his 14 weekly totals with a higher one. Gauldin has a best 14 week total of 674 points and he will be trying to net on a 45. A 50-point win this weekend would net Gauldin five points and bring his 2014 NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series season total to 679.

Holley is currently sixth in the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series standings with 648 points, but he has one more week to earn full points. Even if he finishes seventh in a field of less than eight cars, he would earn 34 points and bring his season total to 682 points.

Holley will be looking for his 12[sup]th[/sup] win of the season, and is currently three 50-point wins away from having a perfect season of 700 points with nine weeks left in the 2014 NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series season.
