FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

CARTERSVILLE, GA – Week 20 of the 2009 NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series season will see limited action due to special events. There will be seven events at six tracks on the schedule with four races in the East Region, and three races in the West Region.

The NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series National Touring event this Saturday night at Mountain Raceway Park in Maryville, TN will award NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series bonus points to eligible drivers.

Friday night will see NeSmith Chevrolet WRS East Region action at Penton Raceway in Penton, AL and East Alabama Motor Speedway in Phenix City, AL. Saturday night East Region events will be held at Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL and at East Alabama Motor Speedway.

NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series West Region events will be held on Friday night at Hattiesburg Motorsports Park in Hattiesburg, MS, and on Saturday night at Pike County Speedway in McComb, MS and Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, MS, which has postponed its double points event, but will award regular Weekly Racing Series points.

Upcoming NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series Double-Point events will be at Penton Raceway on August 22 and Talladega Short Track on August 29 in the East Region. Hattiesburg Motorsports Park will present a Double-Points race on September 4, and South Mississippi Speedway in Gulfport, MS will award Double-Points on September 5 in the West Region.

Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, MS will return to NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series action on August 22 with the $1,000-to-win John Lightsey Memorial. This will be a tune-up race in preparation for the NeSmith Chevrolet DLMS National Touring double-header at WMP on August 28 and 29.
