Point leader Adam Gauldin of Talladega, AL will be looking for his fifth top five finish in his first five starts this weekend.
Batesville Motor Speedway in Batesville, AR will open the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series Week 5 competition with a tune-up race for the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Ozark Nationals, featuring a pair of 50-lap $2,500-to-win races on May 2-3. Hattiesburg Speedway in Hattiesburg, MS will also be in action this Friday night.
Salina Speedway in Salina, KS will present its season opener this Friday and host the first-ever NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series sanctioned dirt late model race ever in the Jayhawk State.
A pair of $1,000-to-win races will highlight the Saturday night NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series Week 5 action. 411 Motor Speedway in Seymour, TN will present its regular weekly NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series Late Model show paying $1,000-towin, and East Alabama Motor Speedway in Phenix City, AL will also pay $1,000-to-win this Saturday night.
Chris Holley of Dayton, TX is the hottest driver in the first four weeks of NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series Late Model competition, as he has three wins in three starts. Holley will be looking for his fourth straight win this Saturday night at Battleground Speedway in Highlands, TX.

Drivers participating at NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series sanctioned tracks compete against each other through a points system that counts their 14 best weekly point totals over the 27-week season that runs through September 28.
The 2014 NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series National Champion will earn $10,000 and the Top 10 drivers in the final National point standings will also receive cash awards from the point fund. Drivers will also compete for an additional point fund at each series sanctioned track.
The dirt late model race cars in the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series are powered by the economical Chevrolet Performance Circle Track Engines that are built and sealed at the factory to prevent any expensive modifications. There are two engines to choose from, the 400 horsepower aluminum-head 604 engine and the 350 horsepower steel-head 602 engine that gets a 100-pound weight break.
