CARTERSVILLE, GA – The defending and two-time NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing West Region Champion Lucky Keeton of Toomsuba, MS kept his perfect season alive by posting his fourth consecutive win on Saturday night at Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, MS. Keeton has stretched his NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series West Region point lead to 29 points.

Dana Eiland of Salem, AL leads a close point battle in the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series East Region with his third-straight top five finish on Saturday night at East Alabama Motor Speedway in Phenix City, AL. Eiland leads Richie Stephens of Phenix City, AL by just two points in the NeSmith Chevrolet WRS East Region.

Keeton has two wins at Whynot, one win at A1 Raceway in Slidell, LA, one win at Southern Speedway in Hattiesburg, MS, and has accumulated 192 points driving the Boland Performance Trak-Star in quest of his third straight NeSmith Chevrolet WRS West Region title. Keeton has not lost a NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series event that he has competed in so far this season.

Shannon Lee of Lumberton, MS is second in the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series West Region standings with 163 points. Lee has four top five finishes in four starts. Herman Reynolds of Laurel, MS is third with 156 points, and three top fives in four starts. Talbert Goldman of Meridian, MS is four with 122 points, and two top fives in three starts.

Donald Watson of Greenwell Springs, LA is fifth in the West Region standings with 115 points, and Davin Bates of Independence, LA is sixth with 104 points. David Colvin of Houma, LA is seventh with 96 points, and Larry Murphy of Meridian, MS is eighth with 94 points. Tootie Arnold of Meadville, MS is ninth with 91 points, and Bennie Raynor of Pearl River, LA round out the top ten in the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series West Region with 87 points.

In other NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series West Region action on Saturday night, Brandon Register of Greenville, AL took the win at Butler County Motorsports Park in Greenville, AL, and second generation driver Tanner English of Benton, KY was the winner at Columbus Speedway in Columbus, MS.

Michael Santangelo of St. Rose, LA won at A1 Raceway in Slidell, LA, and Kerry Vicknair of Denham Springs, LA took the victory at Pike County Speedway in McComb, MS. Baton Rouge Raceway in Baton Rouge, LA and Southern Speedway in Hattiesburg, MS were rained out on Friday night, while Flomaton Speedway in Flomaton, AL was rained out on Saturday night.

Eiland has accumulated 134 points to lead the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series East Region, and Stephens is second with 132 points having turned in one win, and two top fives in three starts. Anthony Meadows of Lanett, AL is third in the East Region with 120 points after one win, and two top fives in three starts.

Terrance Nowell of Phenix City, AL moved up to the fourth spot with 98 points after a win on Saturday night at East Alabama Motor Speedway. Nowell now has one win, and two top five finishes in three starts.

Montana Dudley of Phenix City, AL holds the fifth position in the East Region with 97 points, and Mark Patterson of Valley, AL is sixth with 90 points. Larry Harrod of Plains, GA is seventh with 82 points, and Matt Woodson of LaGrange, GA is eighth with 78 points.

The defending NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series East Region Champion Logan Yates of Delta, AL is ninth with 76 points, while Marc Gooden of LaFayette, AL, Larry Eldridge of Columbus, GA, and Tyler Hurst of Lineville, AL are all tied for the tenth spot in the NeSmith Chevrolet WRS East Region with 70 points.

In other NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series action on Saturday night, the 2007 NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series East Region Runner-Up Jimmy Elkins Jr. of Talladega, AL topped a 24-car field to take the win at Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL, and Blake Stewart of Centre, AL bested a 22-car field at Green Valley Speedway in Glencoe, AL.

Penton Raceway in Penton, AL was rained out on Friday night, and Chattahoochee Valley Motor Speedway in Dothan, AL did not report their Saturday night results.
