CARTERSVILLE, GA – The NeSmith Super Dirt Car Series has added a 40-lap $2,000-to-win race on May 21 at North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, AL to its 2010 schedule. This event will be held in conjunction with the NeSmith Super Dirt Car Series 40-lap $2,000-to-win race on May 22 at Corinth Speedway in Corinth, MS.

Both events will be co-sanctioned with the Promoters Racing Organization (PRO). The last NeSmith SDCS/PRO sanctioned event was held at North Alabama Speedway on March 20, and Josh Putnam of Killen, AL was the winner. David Breazeale of Kosciusko, MS is the NeSmith Super Dirt Car Series point leader.

The NeSmith Super Dirt Car Series is for dirt late models, using Open and Spec engines along with the GM Performance CT525 Spec Engine, and the GM Performance 604 and 602 Crate Engines. A level playing field is established using different weights and spoiler sizes for each engine type.

Drivers that are series members in the NeSmith Super Dirt Car Series are competing for a $22,000 point fund that awards the champion $10,000 and pays back ten spots. Drivers’ point totals are based on their best ten finishes of the 2010 season.

If a driver wins the championship using a GM Performance CT525 Spec Engine purchased from NeSmith Chevrolet in Claxton, GA, the dealership will pay the champion a $5,000 bonus to make for a title worth $15,000.

The GM Performance CT525 Spec Engine is in stock and readily available at NeSmith Chevrolet in Claxton, GA with free next day delivery anywhere in the Southeast for $7,195, and race-ready with all of the needed accessories except carburetor for $10,100. To place an order, call Tim Bland at 1-877-497-3624. For more information visit the NeSmith Chevrolet web site at www.nesmithnow.com.

Membership to NeSmith Racing is not required to compete in NeSmith Super Dirt Car Series Events, but it is required to earn points and be eligible for the NeSmith Super Dirt Car Series point fund.
