BRSD_OWNERS
As most of you know I made a decsion last year to sell the track and today it became offical.Yes the track did sell and to very good people who have the passion for the sport and the track. It was very difficult for me to sell something that I love as much as i love the sport the track and the racers and fans that have supported the track for the paast 20 pluss years and the last 7 that i have had the pleasure of owning the track.right now I would like to thank everyony who helped us along the way like ARCHIE CAMDEN Jeff MILLS NICK HARRIS SARA GRIMM JASON HARRIS JOSH and DAVE VARNER the entire DEE family DAVE MALLOW TIM and DOUG BROWN the WEIS FAMILY the DREHER FAMILY JAMIE WALLER RICKI ROTH BILL SUTTON and everyone who contributed to the success of BRSD the last 7 years if i forgot to mention anyone i apoligize but the most important of all the racers and fans.If anyone has any doubts about the new owners you can put that doubt to rest because they are exactly what the track needs. You will all see this the first time you pull into the track this year.So for now we will see you all opening night we will all be there racing and having fun like the days of old and I can once again relax and race with the rest of my extended family.Good luck to the new owners James and Mell Merseal i hope the enjoy it as much as i did.

Thank you all

Jason Waller

wow

LD, you are so right. Jeff would be so proud, but most of all i am so proud of jason he wrote that thread all by himself. he really impressed me, anyone who knows jason enough, knows that the track was jasons baby, we may not have been able to do the things that the track needed, but we knew that enough to let it go. I just hope that everyone understands that no matter what has occured over the years, that jason loved that racetrack with everything that he had. We put everything that we had into that track and lost alot to keep it. But, most of all, we found 4 of the BEST people that have just made so many changes for the better out there, and they will continue it. We are so proud of them, and that is the only thing that has made this a little easier on jason and myself. They are going to take this track to where it needs to be, and have lots of fun along the way. GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF THE RACERS AND GOD SPEED.
WITH ALL OF OUR ENJOYMENT, HAVE A GREAT 2008 RACING SEASON.
CHRISTI

yes

LD, i did check on the picture back a few weeks ago, i asked them if they wanted to leave it hanging or if they wanted me to return it to you, and they did state that they would love to keep it right where it is. I told them that was fine and if they ever wanted to get it out to please let me know. We are close with them, and will be there all the time, so they will let me know if something arises but they also know how important jeff was to our track. So, rest assure that it is in good caring hands.

jeff

LD, i am not sure if you gave me that or what, but i have that picture and i love it too. That man would be so proud of Jason for knowing that he needed to do this for the track, and i can just hear him telling jason that. And telling him that it will all be ok, cause this is a very big decision on jasons part. It was totally his decision, i left it up to him and whether or not people realize it, he did it to help the track and the sport, some are going to say otherwise, but that is just ok. We know the truth. This has been really hard on him, BUT the merseals have made this easier on him by showing him ALREADY that this is going to remain a special track. They have done so much, i think so many people are going to be happy. we are parked in the first few spots so if you ever come out you better come over and see me.
Thanks, LD you have always made things make sense to me. And after jeff was gone you took over and told me the things that jeff would have been telling me. KEEPING ME IN CONTROL!!!!!! WE LOVE YOU LD
CHRISTI

Thanks Christi ....

You always have the nicest things to say but you know what .. No matter who believes me Jeff was my best friend. We discussed racing and all the tracks he worked at alllllll the time. I miss that sooooooo much. It made me feel good that he thought enough of me to always ask my opinions. NO i was not Jeff's wife or " Family " but i was always there for him when he needed me and even at the end he told me " I dont know what i would do without you " " You know i love you " So, Jeff not being at the tracks when i go, is VERY hard for me to adjust to.

NOW to Jason... Jason, stepping aside is not always a sign of failure ....... The better man knows when to cut his losses for the sake of something he loves. It was appearant that the track just needed more than you could possibly give it. So, cherrish the memories you had and TOTALY support the new people who also want the best for the track. Just like you did when you took it over.I know Jeff would think that this is truely what is best for the track ! And also.....Thanks to all of you who continue to remember all the great times we all had together . Whether is was Jeff's STUPID singing of that song backwards ( i hated that ) or his rude comments to the prisoners or him breaking wind in that small tower and making ALL others suffer ! :D He had the best heart of anyone i know, i only wish some would have realized that before it was to late ..... Hang tough .... I will see you all soon ! LUV, LD

Hey Mr Meyers.... You know i just wanted to say something to you. Jeff had a heart for young up and coming racers. He always went the extra mile to help them out. And i know he thought your family was really a nice family because we talked about it. Congrats on the new Gand-Baby and hopefully i will see you all at a track this Summer....... LD

Man oh man, isn't that the truth! You all are sure bringing back alot of old memories for me! It's hard for me to believe that it's been almost a year since we lost him. I love him; I love you guys and I love the track. Therefore, after talking with Jason and Christi, and James, Lisa, Mel and Kathy, I've decided to come out of retirement and help as much as I can this year as the Announcer/System Operator. I will do my best to fill Jeff's shoes and keep his spirit alive!

I've been doing this for 15 years now...and I've never had as much fun as I did between the years 1999-2007. No matter what happens in the future, I'll never be fortunate enough to enjoy times as I did with Jeff, Jason, Christi and the rest of the gang!

Don't get me wrong, though. I plan to help people learn more about BRSD; it's history and it's future. So, I ask all of you to help ME help OTHERS have a place they can call their second home as I have for the last 15 years.

Thank you all so much! I hope to see you at the sand drags!!!!!
