"Update"--- #43--Pete Koenig

:cool: Millsey, I heard that Pete is leaving Iraq at the end of Feb. and be back home mid-late March. I think it would be a nice jester to have a article about him since he has been serving his country and leaving every thing behind. He's the only one I know that races and serves his country for all of us . How many of the guys would do that for there country and the future of all of us. Hear his Dad is building another pure street for him when he comes home of couse it will be #43. Jeramey drove the #43 for him last year and done well for the time he raced at the "Rock"(Was either 6 or 7 feature wins) His Dad gave his #47 up to honor Pete with the 43. Thought the Drivers Seat might want to do a article on him. Ask some of the racers and fans and see what they think. Thanks Millsey ;)
 
It would be nice to have a "Welcome Home" party for him at one of the tracks. Hey did they ever get that scrapbook done and sent to him that they were working on in the pits last summer???

:cool: I think that family and friends are waiting to let him reajust to being home. Heard that a meeting with the National Gaurd said that the guys would need a month or so to try to get reajusted to civillian life again and to be deprogramed from Iraq. I can understand that. Before he left they had a real nice one at the hall in Bismarck. I'm sure he got the scrap book and looked at it many times,the way he loves racing. Any thing would be nice and a "BIG PARTY" later. What do you think? I'll check back again. Thanks once again "Millsey"

;) Your right about that one,wouldn't want to come up behind him and yell. Might be the last time! :eek: Those are cool looking T-shirts-where to buy and how much? See you when the flag drops and the dust flies. I'll watch for update. Heard through the grape vine that Chris Boyd is working on a mod. for "Pete's return". Hope he still wants to drive it ,would be good for him to get back to a normal routine than what he has been use to. If he does he'll have a mod and pure street. ;)
 
The new Driver's Seat t-shirts are available right now through Cody Tees of Ste. Genevieve. Sizes small through XL is only $17 and that includes design on front and back of shirt. Add $2 for XXL and $3 for XXXL. Shipping is available also. The actual shirt is a TOP QUALITY shirt, it's actually a 100% cotton and 100% polyester blend. You can wash and bleach them and they won't fade. I've never seen anything like them.. Gary's number is (573) 883-2900 day or night.

Yeah I can get them here in Farmington and in kids sizes too. Just contact Gary and tell him what you want and I can get the shirts from him and have them available here. I just gave his phone number and address so people could talk with him direct.
