Northern Allstars/Challenge of Champions roll into Tri-City Speedway on April 9th!

Pontoon Beach, IL (March 22, 2006) The Northern Allstars/UMP Challenge of Champions Series rolls into the Tri-City Speedway on Sunday, April 9th as the final leg of a three race swing through southern Illinois. The series will be at Godfrey Speedway on April 7th and then at Mt. Vernon Raceway on April 8th before visiting Tri-City Speedway on April 9th.

Some of the top late model drivers from Illinois and eastern Missouri are expected to be on hand including four time and defending UMP National Champion Rodney Melvin. All the action will be on Tri-City Speedway's 1/4 mile high banked dirt oval.

The Northern Allstars Series utilizes the group qualifying format in which each car will qualify against other cars in their own heat race. The racing action is set to kick off at 6pm with the pit gate opening at 3pm and the grandstands opening at 5pm. General admission tickets are $15 and pit passes will be $30.

The UMP Modifieds, UMP Sportsman and Street Stock divisions will also be competing.

Tri-City Speedway is located just across the Mississippi River from St. Louis, MO in Pontoon Beach, IL. Take exit 4 off I-270 and go 1/2 mile south on SR 203.
