I was going to use that little professional CEO title but all of you know me as Stan so we will just go with that. IN my opinion sometimes things get a little to professional.
Things happen in our lives sometimes that just really make us appreciate where we are. I know sometimes I am very guilty of running way to fast and not taking the time to look around and appreciate what I already have.
As the 2004 Inaugural season Points Banquet is now right before us, I have had time to sit back and really think about what we as a team have accomplished this year and it has just been unbelivable. I can't tell you how much I look forward to the banquet. Handing out checks, giving away tropies, giving away brand new chassis, tires, engines, jackets and other items it really makes me excited but very grateful for where we have come from in such a short period of time.
The drivers, crews, families, car owners, track promoters and marketing partners I can never thank you enough for supporting us this year. Although we have been through controversy and we have had our share, all of you just kept believing in the 'vision' and we all came out a winner. I am very humbled by the effort that everyone put into Fastrak this season and I so much look forward to the Points Banquet that I am smiling right now. I ccan't wait to see the looks on your faces.
I know some of you may not have been members and may not be receiving awards but I want you to know that we consider you a part of our 'family'. I hope and I believe what we have created this year is a racing family. I have seen people help each other to all ends. Cars torn up and other crews jumping in to help. Not just once but pratically every race. I think that is what racing at our level is supposed to be. FUN. People have joked, laughed and raced. In the end it was all of you that made it work and you have my sincere gratitude.
Yes there have been other Series developed, other races going on and all sorts of things happening. We knew that would happen. People having fun is contagious and it now shows in other events taking place. I know some of you for instance will be at other races this year and I hope the very best for you. When you find out it may not be exactly what it was supposed to be then just come on back home, you are always welcome with us.
The one thing you have learned about me this year is that I have been honest with you. I am always here to help you and have had the pleasure of doing so on a lot of occassions. You know for a fact I will treat you fair, stick to my guns and be consistent. I haven't always been right but I never ran and hid, I came straight to you and told you I made a mistake. Thanks for allowing me that. I will always continue to strive to do better for you.
As the 2005 season is almost on us things have just burst wide open and this year wil be the most unbelivable yet. With the 05 Points fund topping $70,000.00 plus $100,000 contingency fund, 5 new chassis, new engines, new wheels and plenty more coming your way and on top of that it hasn't stopped. I told you 04 would pay off for you and you guys that joined the points I think you will agree. Can you only imagine what 05 will be? How about 06 an beyond? Not only has the 05 points fund reached that amount but I will get you more!!!
All Fastrak Members will receive fuel deals straight from VP this year. Saving you a ton of money right there alone. Goodyear has agreed to also give every Fastrak member discount cards that for your haulers and trucks and trailers you will recieve a 50% discount on any tires you purchase. Another savings. Like a man once told me, the easiest money I ever made is the money I saved. Just one other way we are trying to help.
Again I thank everyone for your support this year. I look forward to seeing how you 'clean up' for the points banquet. Heck I probably won't recognize some of you. Most of all I thank God for blessing us this year and in many years to come.
