Louisville, KY-June 10, 2009- Battle of the Bluegrass DirtCar Series CEO Tom McConnell, O’Reilly Battle of the Bluegrass DirtCar Series Director Larry Yantz, and 201 Speedway track promoter Chuckie May have come to agreement in accordance to sanctions to be handed out to the race team’s of Chris Combs and Dustin Linville following a post-race incident at 201 Speedway in Sitka, KY on Saturday June 6.

Both the Combs and Linville race teams will receive the same punishments from both the Battle of the Bluegrass DirtCar Series and from 201 Speedway. Both respective drivers and their teams will be suspended the next three series events that will take place on June 12, June 13, and June 20. If any or all of these events are cancelled, postponed, or rescheduled, then the suspensions will carry over to another event or events. Also, both participants and their teams are suspended from the next three track events scheduled at 201 Speedway on June 13, June 20, and July 4, with any cancellations of any of these events also resulting in them carrying over to another date or dates. The July 4 date is the next scheduled O’Reilly Battle of the Bluegrass DirtCar Series visit to 201 Speedway, thus, the two participants will actually be suspended from a total of four series events.

With the four event suspension in place, series officials decided to waive the financial penalty in the rules and also both drivers will not lose any series points, since both teams will be suspended one race extra beyond what the actual series rule states.
