Beebe, Arkansas (7/22/08) – The O’Reilly MSRA Super Late Models will resume wheel-to-wheel combat this Sunday night as they once again square off against the Allstate DLRA Super Late Models at Monett Speedway in Monett, Missouri.

Last weekend, the O’Reilly MSRA held a pair of events at Batesville Motor Speedway in Locust Grove, Arkansas. With a great field of cars on hand each night, two exceptional shows were held with Jack Sullivan sweeping both nights.

Over the course of the weekend, things got tighter in the O’Reilly MSRA point’s race with Jeff Floyd from Walnut Ridge, Arkansas closing to within 27 points of the leader and defending tour champion, Joey Mack.

The battle for the third position in the point standings is also getting closer with Kuntz & Co. Rookie of the Year Contender, Jon Kirby, from Russellville, Arkansas leading the 2007 O’Reilly MSRA Rookie of the Year, Billy Moyer Jr., by only 39 points for the position. Kyle Beard, who has two wins on the tour in 2008, rounds out the current top five in points and is 250 points out of first place.

This weekend the top drivers in the point’s standings will be joined by a tough cast of competitors as the tour makes its only visit of 2008 to Monett Speedway. Other drivers, who are expected to compete on Sunday night include Dewaine Hottinger (Arkansas), Dusty Johnston (Arkansas), Randy Mitchell (Oklahoma), Jeff Sloan (Missouri), and many more.

In addition to the strong contingent that the O’Reilly MSRA tour will bring into battle, the DLRA will bring their own posse of heavy hitters including Brandon McCormick (current point’s leader), Justin Wells, Terry Phillips, Jeremy Payne, Tony Jackson Jr., Dustin Mooneyham, and many more.

The tire rule for the weekend will be Hoosier tires, LM40, 55, and MSRA Spec 1600.
