A three day weekend is on tap for the O’Reilly Auto Parts Topless Outlaw Racing Association as they battle their rival organization, the O’Reilly Auto Parts National Championship Racing Association (NCRA), 2 out of 3 nights.

Racing action kicks off Friday night July 1 at the I-80 Speedway located in Greenwood, Nebraska. The 4/10 mile high banked clay oval will play host to the first meeting between the two series since May 3, 2003, a race which featured O’Reilly TORA driver Earl Kinderknecht netting his first career series win at 81 Speedway in Wichita, Kansas. Racing will commence at 7:30 PM for hot laps, with the show beginning immediately after. Also racing will be the Pro Stocks (combination of Stock Cars and Pro-Ams), Friday Night Crate Engine Late Models, IMCA Sport Mods, and Hornets. Figure 8’s will also provide entertainment. Following the races will be a fireworks show as well. General Admission for the evening is $15.00, students age 13 thru 17 and seniors age 62 and over are $12.00 and kids 12 and under are FREE. Saturday night the O’Reilly TORA stars move south into their home state of Kansas where they will make their only appearance in 2005 at the Salina Speedway in Salina, Kansas. Home of 2 of the most exciting finishes last year, the high banked 3/8 mile clay oval will host its fourteenth race under the O’Reilly TORA banner. In the Fourth of July weekend race last year Terry Phillips held off Kyle Berck and Steve Kosiski in what many people called the race of the year. In the fall race Kelly Boen used a last lap, last turn pass that put him on top for the night. With the exciting finishes in the past this will definitely be one of the shows of 2005 not to miss. Racing action starts at 7:30 PM. Also on the card at Salina will be the IMCA Hobby Stocks, Super Stocks, and IMCA Modifieds. A huge fireworks show will cap off the evening as the last checkered flag falls. For more information on the Salina Speedway visit http://www.salinaspeedway.com

To complete the weekend the O’Reilly TORA drivers will once again meet up with the O’Reilly NCRA drivers, this time at the historic Belleville High Banks in Belleville, Kansas. It will be the second weekend in a row that the series has visited the famed half mile, last week for the Jayhawk 50 in which Matt Miller of Waterville, Ohio took home the win. 2004 Kuntz & Company Rookie of the Year Mike Wiarda won his first and only race last year at the High Banks in O’Reilly TORA competition. Racing will begin at 7:30 PM. Also competing will be the O’Reilly NCRA Modified Series and making their debut in 2005 will be the Cruiser division on the short track. General Admission for the evening’s show will be $16.00 with children ages 10-14 $6.00. Once again, a fireworks show will follow the night’s program. The Friday and Sunday night shows will both require the use of roofs on all cars, as well as an American Racer MD56 only on all 4 corners. Saturday night normal O’Reilly TORA Rules will apply.
