The rumors are flying, just as they have been every winter since its last closing. I would sure like to see someone open the place and be able to make it a success again. However, if anyone has plans for it in 2011, they have already started off on the wrong foot, most teams have already been working on their stuff and making plans on where to run. It would be wise to get word out ASAP that is gonna open.
I also tend to believe that it will never work as well on Friday nights as it will on Saturday. Benton was its best on Sat., even in 01-02 when they were competing with Bluff, which is no longer an issue. Friday you are going against the threat of Fredericktown and Malden opening. Just my opinions (which prolly mean nothing) LOL!

I'm very happy someone is giving this great racetrack another chance! I would love to see a sprint car race on the schedule atleast once a month! With Memphis running a
360 show on Friday nights I think since you are running on Saturday nights a 360 show once a month would work!! Good luck with the upcoming season and lets see some
sprint cars flying around Benton again!!!!!!!!!!!!

ATTENTION ! HOW DOES A " steel block winged sprint " class sound ? ANY TAKER'S ? PLEASE GET IN TOUCH WITH ME IF YOU WOULD HAVE INTEREST IN RUNNING A CLASS LIKE THIS. The rule's will most likely be VERY simple / minimal for ease of tech . SUCH AS IRON BLOCK AND 2 3/16 " injection size . That may be about all we check...this keeps it fun and we can find TYPICAL used part's to build an engine .
