The highly anticipated O Reilly All Star Late Model Series 2009 season is quickly approaching and Series President, Guy Webb and Series Director, Jason Shank have been hard at work putting together a very lucrative year end points fund as well as an incentive plan for drivers planning on competing on the full tour.
The O Reilly All Star Late Model Series is offering a guaranteed $50,000 year end points fund to be paid out to the top ten in points.
The Series champion will also receive a minimum of $15,000 with the tenth place finisher in the season ending points battle will receive no less than $2,000. This is something we are coming right out of the box with, stated Webb. This point fund is guaranteed, this is not based off of the number of events we have and right now we are sitting at around 25 scheduled events with up to 35 events possible.
Also being offered by the O Reilly All Star Late Model Series is tow
(show) money to the top ten in ASLMS points. Tow money will be tiered based on points position with the point leader receiving a cool $500 per event. Second in points will receive $400 per event, positions three through seven will receive $250 per event, and eight through ten will receive $200 per event.
Tow money is a solid deal for the drivers, Shank said. We are here to put on a good show for the fans and take care of the drivers. When the drivers are taken care of, so are the fans. Jason continued, When we put a solid field of drivers and cars on the race track the fans will be in for a treat.
