LEXINGTON, KY -- With just three races remaining, a tight points battle highlights a double-header weekend as the O'Reilly NARA Battle of the Bluegrass DirtCar Series presented by Arizona Sport Shirts visits Ponderosa Speedway this Friday and Bluegrass Speedway this Saturday. This season, the O'Reilly NARA Battle of the Bluegrass DirtCar Series has had 16 different winners in 17 races.
This Friday, September 16th, the Larry Yantz promoted Ponderosa Speedway in Junction City, KY will host their second O'Reilly NARA Battle of the Bluegrass event of the 2005 season. The John Bradshaw Memorial, will be a complete new show after being rained out back on August 26th. It will be the eighth appearance since 2002 for Kentucky's premier Late Model series at Ponderosa Speedway. In the previous seven races, Johnny Wheeler has three wins with Mike Marlar, Greg Johnson, Benji Lee, and Bryan Barber each recording one victory. The John Bradshaw Memorial will pay $3,000 to the winner.
This Saturday, September 17th, the O'Reilly NARA Battle of the Bluegrass DirtCar Series heads to Bardstown, KY for the 7th Annual Bluegrass 50 at the Bluegrass Speedway. This event will mark the series' fourth visit of the season to the Charles Hamilton-owned, David and Anita Ferrell-promoted facility as Shannon Babb won the Spring Sizzler and Mike Marlar won the Kentuckiana Klash while the June Jam was rained out. The 7th Annual Bluegrass 50 pays $5,000 to win.
Each night's program will see a complete show for the O'Reilly NARA Battle of the Bluegrass DirtCar Series presented by Arizona Sport Shirts with Racing Optics Time Trials, VP Fuels Makin' Powers Heat Races, B-Mains, and the O’Reilly Auto Parts A-main.

Meanwhile, third-place Mike Jewell sits in just 100 points behind McQueary. The fourth through seventh positions are separated by a mere 105 points with Aaron Hatton holding down fourth followed by Chris Combs, Michael England, and Tyrel Todd. Behind them, Wayne Chinn, Frankie Coomer, and Shannon Thornsberry rounds out the top ten.
