(BRASSTOWN, NORTH CAROLINA) After five successful seasons in which the O'Reilly Southern Nationals Series grew in popularity amongst drivers and fans, the Southeastern-based Dirt Late Model series heads into 2010 and its sixth year of existence with arguably its best schedule! O'Reilly Southern Nationals Series founder and promoter Ray Cook has revealed the 2010 campaign, which once again features ten races in a matter of only thirteen days.

The gauntlet begins on Monday, July 12 at the Wythe Raceway in Rural Retreat, Virginia and once again concludes on Saturday, July 24 at the high-banks of the Tazewell Speedway in Tazewell, Tennessee. In between, the popular series will make stops at the Carolina (NC) Speedway, Cherokee (SC) Speedway, Swainsboro (GA) Raceway, Screven (GA) Motor Speedway, Rome (GA) Speedway, East Alabama Motor Speedway, Cleveland (TN) Speedway, and Volunteer (TN) Speedway. As has been the case in recent years, the four weekend shows will pay $5,300 to win, while the six mid-week events will pay $3,500 to the winner.

"I am really pleased with how the schedule turned out this year and I am excited about all ten of our races in July," quoted Cook earlier this week via telephone. "We have had most of the dates set in stone since around the Performance Racing Industry show in early December, but we just finalized the last few races this week. I think that the schedule should be attractive to the drivers and the fans should enjoy some good racing at new venues like Rome and East Alabama."
