P.R.O. Super Late Model Series Thunders Into North Alabama This Saturday

Columbus, Mississippi (03/16/10) – After a hugely successful series’ debut last weekend at Columbus Speedway, the Promoters Racing Organization (P.R.O.) Super Late Model Dirt Car Series will invade North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, Alabama this Saturday, March 20th.

Last Saturday the tour made their debut at Columbus Speedway (Columbus, Mississippi) as thirty-eight Super Late Models representing six states entered the event. After a three wide battle for much of the event, Chris Wall from Holden, Louisiana picked up the win.

This Saturday, March 20th the tour will thunder into North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, Alabama for a $2,500 to win/$250 to start, 40 lap event, which will also be co-sanctioned by the NeSmith Super Dirt Car Super Late Model Series. In addition, the Crate Late Model division will be battling for $1,000 to win. For this event only the Crate Late Model division will not be sanctioned and competitors will not be required to pay a membership fee or an entry fee, and any tire that punches 48 or harder is excepted. Also in action will be the Modified Street, Outlaw Street, Mini Stock, and Pure Street divisions.

Grandstand admission for adults is $15 with kids 12 years of age and under free. Pit admission is $30 for adults with kids 7-12 years of age $5, and 6 years of age and younger free. The pit gate opens at 3:00pm with the driver's meeting at 6pm. Hot laps are slated for 6:30pm and with racing action at 7:00pm.

On Friday, March 19th an Open Practice Session will be held from 7pm to 10pm. Pit admissions is $15 for adults with kids 12 & under free. Grandstand admission is free.

Another strong field of competitors, representing at least five states, is expected to enter the event including Dane Dacus, Neil Baggett, David Breazeale, Rick Rickman, Ronnie Johnson, Mathew Turner, Ross Camponovo, Kyle Beard, Brian Rickman, Ray Mauldin, Anthony Burroughs, Mark Dodson, Klint Byars, Dean Carpenter, Jason Milam, Jeremy Glasgow, Kelly Hanvey, Bo Gordon, Leon Henderson, Chad Winkles, and more.

They will sponsor a $75 DBR Product Certificate to the 10th place finisher in each event, and at the end of the season, the tour champion will receive a free starter. Drivers, who are running the tour P.R.O. Dirt Car Championship are presented with a unique opportunity. They are eligible for the P.R.O. point’s fund, which boasts at least $5,000 to the champion, and a top ten payout that will be determined by sponsorship and entry fees. There is no membership fee required to be eligible for the P.R.O. point’s fund, and a driver’s ten best finishes count toward the final point’s standings.

Drivers, who run the P.R.O. Super Late Model Series will also be eligible for the NeSmith Dirtcar Series point’s fund if they buy a $100 NeSmith membership. The best ten finishes from each driver in P.R.O. series action will be counted toward the point’s fund in the NeSmith Super Late Model Series as well, which boasts a $10,000 first place prize for the point’s fund. As a result, if a driver opts to buy a NeSmith membership, then they will be eligible for two point’s fund, and a total possible point’s prize of $15,000 for just running at least ten events with the P.R.O. tour!

In addition to the other posted prizes, if a driver wins the NeSmith Super Dirtcar Series title utilizing a CT525 motor, then they will receive additional NeSmith $5,000 bonus.
