Paducah International Raceway goes to the dogs and hogs this Friday night

(Paducah, KY) It’s hogs and dogs night at Paducah International Raceway this Friday night as 4 Rivers Harley-Davidson sponsors this weeks races with an annual bike show at the track. It also is pet night at PIR featuring wiener dog races.

Motorcycle enthusiast will join together with pet lovers as we mix horsepower with puppy power. For the motorcycle fans, it is a great opportunity to show off their prize possessions in the 4 Rivers Harley-Davidson, Paducah International Raceway bike show. Anyone entering a bike in the show will receive ½ off of the $10 admission price. Fans will have the opportunity to pick their favorite bike. The owner will then be presented with the fans choice trophy for the evening. Trophies will also be presented for Best in Class and Best in Show.

Pet lovers will also be in attendance as Pet night invades PIR. Pet lovers can bring their family pets with them to the track. Dogs, cats, birds and any other pets will be allowed providing they are leashed. Wiener dog races will take place at intermission. The four-legged friends will compete on a short course on the front straight away of the track.

Racecars will also be on the high-banks of Paducah International Raceway. UMP Late Models, the UMP Chevrolet Modifieds, Street Stocks, and 4-Cylinder Warriors will compete along with the CARS Crate late Models, and the Outlaw Mini Sprints. Pit gates open at 4pm with the grandstand at 5pm. Tickets are $10 for adults and children 12 and under are FREE. Anyone entering their wiener dog or motorcycle in the night’s events will receive ½ off their admission.

NASCAR Night I presented by Harrah’s Metropolis Casino & Hotel has been rescheduled for Tuesday July 31st. Tickets that were purchased for the event originally scheduled for May 3rd will be honored. Tickets being held at the Will Call window will continue to be available to be picked up until race time on July 31st. More information will be available in the near future.

NASCAR Stars Dale Earnhardt Jr, Ken Schrader and Promoter Bob Sargent purchased Paducah International Raceway in November of 2005. Two-time NASCAR Champion Tony Stewart joined the trio of Co-Owners as a partner in September of 2006. The 3/8th mile high banked oval will host several high profile events including three NASCAR Nights, The USA World 50, and the Tri-Track Challenge. Paducah International Raceway races every Friday night and is located off Interstate-24 at exit 11 in Paducah, Kentucky.
