Paducah, KY- July 23, 2010- Only three men have gone to Victory Lane in a Street Stock Feature for the 2010 season. Who will go to Victory Lane with $500 on the line? The Feezor’s Restorations Street Stock Special that was originally scheduled for Friday, July 16th will be held at Paducah International Raceway on Friday, July 23rd.
Tony Cruse has made one trip to Victory Lane this season; Bobby Wilkins has taken the checkered four times this year; and defending Champion JR Mason has a total of seven Feature wins to his credit. Other top contenders include Robert Canter, Steve Hobbs, Michael Watson, Paul Humphrey, Keaton Downing, Clay Story, and reigning 4-Cylinder Champion Jake Mayo.
Pit Gates open at 3:00 PM and Grandstands open at 5:00 PM. Hot Laps are at 6:30 PM with racing at 7:00 PM. Tickets are $10 for Adults and Children 12 and under are Free. Pit Admission is $25. Other weekly favorites on the race card include the Super Late Models featuring current points leader and defending Champion Kevin Cole; the Pro (Crate) Late Models headlined by current points leader and defending Champion Tait Davenport; the Modifieds showcasing current points leader Rod Reed and defending Champion Todd Miller; the 4-Cylinder Warriors featuring current points leader Kyle Clark; and the next generation of dirt track racing- the High-School Warriors- with current points leader Kassidi Gibbs leading the pack as the 16 and under 4-Cylinder Warriors compete for PIR’s first-ever High School Warrior Championship.
The month of July will conclude with a Modified Special on Friday, July 30th. See Modified favorites including Steve Ladd, Justin Houston, Jeff Elliott, Ron Wall, Justin Story, Tim Ellington, Dustin Isom, Michael Atkins, current points leader Rod Reed, and defending Champion Todd Miller battle it out with $1,000 on the line.
2010 marks Paducah International Raceway’s fifth year with the current NASCAR driver owners. “Get Dirty” at PIR with racing every Friday night.
