124 racecars and drivers jammed the PIR pit area for this Friday “Mom’s Night” preview to the World of Outlaws Sprint Car special on Saturday. The Rose Garden of Paducah provided roses and carnations for all Moms.

A wild last lap finish saw Jeffrey Bailey take the win over Adam Elliott and Keaton Downing. Bailey, Downing, and Matt Hartman were heat race winners.
Vintage Racers
In the held-over rained out feature from April 25, Mark Moore was victorious over Dave Davidson and Dennis English. When action moved to the regular Friday night program, heats were won by Lyn Forsee and Moore. Moore captured his third checkered flag of the evening by winning the feature event over George Cullin and Forsee.
Saturday, May 10, the World of Outlaws Sprint Cars make their only appearance of the season. Local divisions also competing will be the UMP Modifieds and Street Stocks, plus the Super Cell Mini Sprints.
NASCAR Stars Dale Earnhardt, Jr, Ken Schrader, and Promoter Bob Sargent purchased Paducah International Raceway in November of 2005. Two-time NASCAR Champion Tony Stewart joined the trio of co-owners as a partner in September of 2006.
