Paducah International Raceway along with officials from UMP and MARS have made the decision to reschedule the USA World 50 after the rains postponed the race on Friday August 28th. PIR will run a complete new show on Friday September 18th. With everyone’s busy schedules this date should work out best and we expect many cars to be on hand. A rainout is never a good situation, however both UMP and MARS have come up with a plan to accommodate as many as possible. PIR has the Wayne Coakley Memorial scheduled for September 18th. We will be combining the two races into one. September 18th will be billed as the “USA World 50 Wayne Coakley Memorial”. This will be a UMP / MARS co-sanctioned event paying $5,000 to the winning Late Model team with points going to both series. We are expecting all the drivers that were in attendance last night with more drivers calling in regards to the reschedule date. Those who were in attendance on Friday, August 28th PIR will honor their ticket stub or armband for admission on September 18, 2009.
