(INDIANTOWN, FLORIDA) Indiantown, Florida driver Patrick Sheltra will invade the Midwest once again this weekend, as he plans to compete in a pair of events. Friday night, Patrick will pilot the Sheltra & Sons Construction / Brady Ranch #23 Rocket / Clements Grand Prix at the Union County Speedway in Liberty, IN. The event at Union County will be an ALMS-sanctioned event and will pay $2,000 to the winner. Patrick picked up a win at the Union County Speedway earlier this season in his first visit to the facility. “Mr. Showtime” also plans to make a visit to the Florence Speedway in Union, KY this Saturday night for a $5,000 to win O’Reilly NARA Battle of the Bluegrass Series event.

Patrick was up in the Midwest last weekend as well, but rain spoiled most of his trip. He was rained out Friday and Sunday night in Ohio. He was able to compete at the famed Brownstown Speedway in Brownstown, IN on Saturday night in the 20th annual running of the ‘Kenny Simpson Memorial’. Patrick timed in well at the tricky ¼-mile oval and started on the front row of his heat race. However, a misunderstanding of when the heat race would begin cost Patrick a shot of making the $4,000 to win event. He would gain a few spots in the B-Main, but not enough to transfer to the ‘Kenny Simpson Memorial’.
