Third Annual Crate Nationals at 411 Motor Speedway Up Next
Gatlinburg, Tennessee (11/05/19) – Pierce McCarter enjoyed a great weekend at the 45th Annual National 100 in his McCarter Brothers Racing #51 Tennessee Homemade Wines/ Parkway Liquor Store/ Longhorn Chassis Late Model. The Tennessee racer showed speed all weekend before finishing second in the $5,000-to-win Crate Late Model finale.
“It was a long weekend, but it was a fun weekend,” McCarter said. “No more than we’ve raced this year to go out and contend for the win against such a strong field of racers is pretty awesome. We would’ve loved the win, but we’re definitely proud of our second-place finish. Hopefully, this weekend we can pick up the big check at the Crate Nationals.”
Hopping behind the wheel of the McCarter Lumber Company No. 51 Crate Late Model entry, Pierce McCarter made the trip to East Alabama Motor Speedway (Phenix City, Alabama) on Saturday night for the 45th annual National 100. In a field of 25 Crate Late Model entries, Pierce recorded the third-fastest lap in his time trial group which positioned him third on the starting grid for the $5,000-to-win A-Main on Sunday.
Improving one spot in the 50-lap affair, McCarter notched a runner-up finish behind Mark Whitener with Ricky Culpepper, Blake Smith, and Austin Horton trailing them to the checkers.

Pierce will be back in the driver’s seat this weekend – November 8-9 – in the third annual Crate Nationals at 411 Motor Speedway (Tazewell, Tennessee). The weekend is headlined by a $3,000-to-win/ $300-to-start, 604 Crate Late Model finale.
