Springfield,Mo.-After a standing room only event last Sat Night, the points battle at the SpringfieldRaceway will turn up the heat even more with Bass Pro Shop and Hardee's Night at the Quick-Quarter mile dirt oval with action in the USRA Modifieds,Bombers,SportMods and LegendCars. The area LateModels will not be competing this Sat night due to the Local Area touring Series events.

Currently defending SpringfieldRaceway USRA Modified Champion Jackie Dalton of Carthage has seen his point lead shrink as Mitch Keeter of Joplin has closed-up to within 24 points of Dalton.Dalton who started with 3 wins in a row has been shutout for the last 2 weeks as Jody Tillman and Springfield's Erik Maggard have been visiting the winner's circle.

The Bomber division continues to see a flip-flop between Robert High and James Redus.High will check in Sat night with only a 3 point lead and is coming off a victory last Sat night and his third of the season as 4 different winners have graced the winner's circle.

The ever growing SportMod Class has veteran Billy Street topping the point standings despite not having grabbed a win yet this season. In 7 races the class has had 7 different winners.Last weeks winner Roy Maynard has moved into the runner-up spot in the standings while Mike Hailman hold down third.Winners so far this season have been Mickey Burrell,Randy Belk,Hailman,JC Morton,Steve Muilenburg,Sean Williams and Maynard. The average car count has been 24 in the SportMod Clas and the qualifying heats are a mini-feature alone.
