LEXINGTON, KY--The O'Reilly NARA Battle of the Bluegrass DirtCar Series presented by Arizona Sport Shirts will hold it's 18th points event of the 2004 season this Friday Night, August 6 at the Ponderosa Speedway in Junction City, KY. There will be a complete show for the O'Reilly NARA Battle of the Bluegrass Late Models with Racing Optics/Russell Baker Racing Engines Times Trials, Crown Spray Power Heat Races, O'Reilly Auto Parts B-Mains and $3000 to win Lucas Oil A-Main.
In the first 17 races contested this season there have been 12 different winners. The point’s race is also heating up with 17 events in the books Aaron Hatton of Mt. Sterling, KY currently sits atop the points with 3405. Second place is Tyrel Todd of Eubank, KY with 3260 points. Johnny Wheeler of Campbellsville, KY rides in third with 3205 points. Completing the top five currently after 17 races are Doug Smith of Somerset, KY and Victor Lee of Stanford, KY.
The rest of the top ten looks this way with Mike Jewell of Scottsburg, IN, Dennis Selby of Russell Springs, KY, Brad Neat of Dunnville, KY, Greg Johnson of Burgin, KY and Spensor Watson of Bethel, OH maintaining positions 6-10.
