Poplar Bluff Speedway and the Chamber Of Commerce celebrated the race tracks Grand Opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony that included all of the Modified race cars driving through the ribbon.
After the National Anthem everyone at the Poplar Bluff Speedway observed a moment of silence for the late Nathan Rettig. 13 year old Late Model driver, from Sikeston, MO.
Also, the night included a $2000 to 1st place in the Modified feature race.
Point season began for all 5 classes.
