Congratulations to the Poplar Bluff Mules! Tonight they won their second consecutive Missouri State 5A basketball championships over the previously #1 nationally ranked Vashon (72-56)... Way to go Poplar Bluff!!! :D
 
Yeah I was torn, I was rooting for Poplar Bluff, but it would of been nice to see a team from Missouri win the National Championship. Congrats Mules! Great season Vashon 60 wins in a row, nothing to be ashamed of.

Hate to break it to you, but there is no HS national championship. Just a pointless, conjectural, and speculative poll in USA Today. :rolleyes:

About the only HS sport that I can think of that sort of has a national championship would be baseball, and even that isn't decided until the summer Legion season is complete. (See Edwardsville Tigers and Post 199 going a combined 74-7 in winning the Legion World Series in '98)
 
And that's not even a national title because there are other associations that hold baseball championships in that same age group.
