Okay I have beeen drinking. But I have just come home from being thrown out of Wild Country night club in Collinsville, IL. Our group of Chris, Tommy, and friends of ours came and decided we were terrible people and then we are shoved and pushed out the door. then pushed to the floor for following directions. I will admit that some of us have been drinking, my wife was not one of them , both of us got thrown to the ground. My father-in-law 62 years old was thrown to the ground and punched in the head. I am 46 years old and was following directions and was thrown to the ground, my wife sober completley was thrown to the ground for following directions. Others might verify this story but I will let them answer this. but I would love to hear from others that think this place should be boycotted by our group and we are going to bring civil charges agaisnt this place.

That really stinks Al. Sounds like I won't go there for a while. However, your post sounds like something I would post.

if you can get witnesses to back you up, i would bring some sort of criminal or civil charges against them. you need witnesses, though, because it sounds like it could be a he said-she said kind of thing. sounds like un-necessary force used. art.

Art the problem is is that our whole group was occupying an area of the bar up stairs. and then they hustled us out but there are marks from where they threw us to the ground so hopefully we can take that to court

It is highly doubtful you would get anywhere trying to sue them, they would tell their story, you would tell yours, both would sound biased. And you admit you have been drinking, so that pretty much makes anyone who hears the story skeptical about your recollections. Not me, I believe you, but anyone else might not think you are the best source of information, certainly if you have been drinking.

This is just one of many many similar stories about Wild Country I have heard. My advice is find a better, more customer friendly place to go.

OMG Al, did something spark all of this? I can't believe they had Mary Beth down like that either, especially since she hadn't been drinking! I can honestly say now that we have heard this, Wahoo & I won't be going back for quite a while!!

I agree with todd, you probably would be wasting your time trying to press charges. Wild Country just has a bunch of overweight guys that think they have a bunch of authority. I have been thrown out of a lot of bars, including wild country twice and I just get over it. They gave us a bunch of problems when my sister got married and a bunch of us went there after the reception was over.

I know Jimmy. and Yes katie she was drinking water like a fish LOL but this is just another thing that makes me mad. So I am sugesting a boycott by the racing community. I am writing Wild Country and The Bull who sponsors them about this incident. So if any of you have stories of problems there please share so I can show the management and thier sponsor what is truly happening there

i can tell you this much,if i was in that situation and they threw my wife to the floor,i would have cleaned the place out of their overweight bouncers, they would have gotten a good asswhoopin from me,guess this is the reason i never go to bars,im too hot headed..good luck!

don't have any experience with getting thrown out of places, or drinking, but if you have a buddy or something with some legal background, then a phone call wouldn't hurt. might suprise you, might disappoint you.. never know. might get somewhere with it. art.

When Al says we were thrown out- he literally means thrown out. The bouncers thought they were big men when they were throwing the females and pushing them around. They felt the need to beat my grandpa...big mistake...they put his wife on the ground, my mom, and al. They beat the crap out of our best friend, that weighs a mere 120 lbs, took 3 bouncers- completely unnecessary. The Collinsville Police said that this isnt the first lawsuit against Wild Country that they have lost. My Grandpa was going to the hospital to have his head checked out from where he was hit so we have records of the injury. While 6 other bouncers were throwing us out the door, all of the other bouncers had to tackle one of their own because of the misuse of his authority. I know that the Sale's and Smallwood's wont be back there after that. We have never had any problems there- always had a great time. Yes, most of us were drinking- not drunk. I dont think there was a "drunk" person in our group. there were also several people that were not drinking that can verify this story to complete details. The Police reviewed the video tape from the bouncers and coincidently- it was too dark! Where was their flash light they always use on the top of the camera? Sounds like they might have known it was coming to me. Like I said, none of us will be back.

I THINK YOU ARE JUST A BUNCH OF DRINKIN' AND FIGHTIN' STOCK CAR HOOSIERS !! just kidding, folks..... al is a friend of mine!! don't start with me, i am teasing!! art

And all of this was at a "country" bar.......LOL

I was thinking of going there in the near future. But, if they are throwing grandmas and grandpas to the ground, I'll keep my hoosiers on this side of the river!!

Hey AL, if you want to go back and give them a taste of their own med. I'm with you just say the word, anytime and any place.I'm just an ole country boy from the hills of southeast mo. ain't been in a good brawl in awhile.

Well thanks Lawerence but since I am one of the most aggressive people you will ever meet LOL I think I will do some other nice things like contact liquor control and state police when I know of underage drinking is going on or I might even try and set them up myself and then turn them in. Might get somewhere might not.
