Lebanon,Mo.-The LebanonMidwaySpeedway held the season finale this past weekend with the running of the 6th annual Fall Brawl with several new winners taking home the big payday as over 90 race temas competed in this weekends action

The Fall Brawl marked the return of the A-Mods on Sat night as 16 cars checked-in for the Sat night event as elementary school principal Jason Pursley of Wheatland took advantage of leader Scotty Drake's misfortune on lap 2 and never looked back in capturing the 20 lap main event.

After time trials and heat races, veteran Drake brought the star-studded field to the green flag with Pursley close behind.Drake was starting to pull away running through the middle groove when something wnet wrong with the car as he pulled to the infield with problems. This brought out the yellow flag bunching the field up.Back in the pack was defending champion Erik Maggard,2 time track champion Jamie Ragland, fast qualifier Jason hughes of West Plains along with West Plains Speedway top gun Rustin Miller and others. On the restart,Pursley found the middle lower groove to his liking as the Hughes familt,Jason,Greg and Josh all battled for spots along with SpringfieldTurkey Classic winner Steve Martin.Pursley began to open the lead as all eyes were on the charging Ragland who started 9th on the grid. While Pursley was pulling away,Ragland was the meat of a Hughes family sandwich as the 4 cars battled back and forth.Veteran Terry Kirk was making up alot of ground during the long green flag run and battled for second place honors.Up front Purley wasn't going to be denied as he placed alot of ground between himself and the race for second place.Ragland and Jason Hughes battled until lap 19 when Ragland made the pass to secure second place as 2 wide action was the norm.Pursley would go unchallanged in taking his first ever Fall Brawl title as Ragland,Jason Hughes,Josh Hughes, and Kirk completed the top 5.

In FactoryStock action, hard charging Sundance Keepper would lead all 20 laps of the championship feature but not without a mid race challange from his brother and former Midway champion Dylan Keepper.Sundance grabbed the lead on the start and began to pull away from the field as D Keepper and defending champion Tyson Troutman went side by side along with Tim Petty and Brad Gideon in the opening laps. The first caution waved on lap 12 allowing the pack to close in on S Keepper. On the double-file restart,Troutman and D Keepper stayed wheel to wheel for 3 laps before Dylan Keepper grabbed second place as Richland's Brian Webster was the car on the move.THe second and final caution waved on lap 17 as Dale Berry spun in turn 4 seting up a brother shootout for the win.Sundance brought the field down on the restart and held off the last 2 lap challanges from Dylan to take his first ever Fall Brawl title.Troutman,Gideon and Webster followed.

Defending Fall Brawl B Mod champion Michael Stake grabbed the lead on the opening lap of the 20 lap feature over Jamie Barker as JC Morton quickly made his move to the front.Morton would challange Stake lap after lap,but during the long green runs,Stake would open up ground and never look back in becoming only the 4th driver in Midway history to defend his championship in the season ending event.Morton locked himself into a solid runner-up finish as Lebanon's Kris Jackson who started back in 14th place rallied late and battled Brad Moad for the third place honors. This race went back and forth with Jackson nipping moad as moad and Jamie Barker followed in the top 5.

The PureStock feature had plenty of excitement as 2010 champion Kory Barker grabbed the opening lead while Matt Darnell followed closely.A couple of early yellows kept the opening pace slow, but once the green flew it was bumper to bumper.Barker tried to pull away but Danny Caffey moved into the second place spot and began to run down the leader as Shorty Doublin was moving quickly. From lap 3 to lap 13,action was side by side as Caffey pulled right on Brker's back bumper as Elijah Keepper was coming the the mid pack.Caffey tried several laps to get around Barker as the duo went through lapped traffic. When the final caution waved on lap 13,Caffey semmed to lose the forward movement and settled into second place only to find Keepper charging forward also.Back in the pack,Lebanon's Matt young involved in a spin earlier had restarted 17th and was charging hard.In the final 3 laps,Barker secured the top spot as Caffey and Keepper went to race for second place while Shorty Doublin and Young went for 4th place.Barker grabbed the feature with Caffey,Keepper,Doublin and Young completing the top 5 as 11 of the 17 starters finished on the lead lap.

The StreetStock feature would see another new driver add his name to the winners list as former track champion Brandon Knudtson had an early battle with Melvin Smith for the top spot.A early caution waved as Jack Hamer took a wild ride on the frontstretchwall and quickly drove right to the pit area.During the long green flag run,Chuck Becker moved into the runner-up spot from Smith as the duo went side by side while Mark Simon began his charge to the front.3 wide action provided the fans with hot racing action while Knudtson was pulling away from the field. On lap 10,Rodney Yost after going backwards in the field began a charge forward to put himself into the battle.Yost moved into second on lap 11 as Simon took the spot back the next lap. This race went back and forth for 5 laps before Simon began to slide backwards alittle.Up front Knudtson working traffic saw the lead getting smaller.Yost made a last 2 lap effort but fell short as Knudtson took his first Fall Brawl win with yost,Melvin Smith,Simon and Becker the top 5 as 14 of the 17 starters finished on the lead lap with lots of wheel to wheel action.

Midwest Modz 2010 champion JC Newell took the opening lead and withstood a late race charge from Trevor Drake in the closing laps to grab the win.The 2 young drivers displayed excellent side by side racing as Drake found the top groove to his liking while Newell styed down low.Lap 12 proved to be the mishap of Drake as he just missed the top groove cushion in turn 2 and lost a few car lengths.Newell took advantage and gathered the win.Drake,Rich Reynolds and Terry Williams Completed the field.

Friday Night Sportsman action saw defending Champion Ben Newell take advantage of an original restart to become only the 3rd driver to repeat his Fall Brawl title.Pole setter JC Newell had grabbed the opening lead, but a caution flag forced a restart.Ben then took the lead on the start and never looked back.Sam Petty,Mike Jones,JC Newell and early front runner Jeff Scroggins completed the top 5.
