There is going to be something for everyone on Dirt Nation presented by Switchme.net radio program on Monday evening January 31. Top figures from the world of dirt Late Model, Modified and Sprint Car racing will be on hand Monday night. DIRT NATION presented by Switchme.net is hosted each week by the Rat Pack, featuring Dave Seay, Brian Tidball and Doc Lehman and airs every Monday evening from 8:00 – 10:00 PM EST and can be accessed over the internet at: http://www.racetalklive.com

Longtime racing star Jeff Purvis will be making a special appearance. Since he began his racing career in 1973, Jeff Purvis has won over 350 races on dirt and asphalt tracks throughout the country. He was the 1984 World Series of Dirt Champion as well as the 1984 World Series of Dirt Champion as well as the 1984 and 1985 NDRA National Champion. Purvis also has years of NASCAR Winston Cup and Busch Grand National experience. This season Purvis will return to the dirt aboard a Mike Vaughn owned dirt Late Model. Purvis was also one of the initial inductees into the National Dirt Late Model Hall of Fame.

2004 Stacker 2 Xtreme Dirt Car Series champion Earl Pearson, Jr., will also be a special guest. The Dunn-Benson Ford Motorsports team and Earl Pearson Jr. have committed to run the entire Lucas Oil NARA DirtCar Series in 2005 in hopes of winning another series championship. Pearson drives the Dunn-Benson Ford Motorsports owned #1 sponsored by Lucas Oil, Dunn-Benson Ford, Larry Wallace Engines, Sunoco Race Fuels, Rocket Chassis, All-Star Performance, Bert, Afco and Butlerbuilt.

Young Sprint Car racing sensation Jimmy Weller III, 19, of Liberty, OH will be making an appearance on Dirt Nation. Weller sustained head and neck injuries during an October13 USAC sprint car event at The Dirt Track @ Lowe’s Motor Speedway in Concord, N.C. After spending seven weeks at The Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, N.C., Weller returned home to Ohio December 1 and is continuing his recovery and rehabilitation.

Matt Shepard, 22, of Waterloo, NY, is one of Modified racing’s brightest and biggest young gun stars and will be on hand to discuss his career. Shepard is the driver of the famed Ross Motorsports Bicknell Chassis/ Enders Racing Engines #44 Modified. Among Shepard’s ’04 season highlights was a major Advance Auto Parts Modified Super Dirt Series win in July at Autodrome Drummond in Dummondville, QUE.
