Hey Smurf, Not familar with the Campbell Hausfield, But The Hobart 120 volt does a very nice job on .120 wall stuff we use the co2/argon mix gas , I've got one of those Jap migs with flux core wire at the shop for exhaust work and it works o.k. for that but I would'nt put a cage together with it.......

just wanying to use it to put the body on the car and some bumper work the cage was built by Chris boyd just need to finish the car

So, smurf needs help finishing the car eh?

go here: http://www.coolegames.com

Look on the panel under "Denk" for "Smurf Je Auto." Click on it. If you dont have flash then you might have to get it to play. Have fun finishing the car.........lolol

hopefully he will I haven't got to contact him yet Wolf was supossed to ask to see if the deal was still good.... the body was just "wired on" NO KIDDING.... so I still have to attach it..

Smurf, Use the gas it make all the difference. If You are welding rub rails or something like that use the .030 wire. For the thin stuff the .025 works a ton better. Don't ask me about settings because my welding stinks. I am getting better though now that my roll cage is done.

I am not an expert, but I wouldnt use a 110 welder on anything but exterior bars or emergencies at the track. I wouldnt use it on the main cage.

i would listen to jimmy 110 is not enough to get good pentration on any thing that has to do with your safety. i weld for a living and on the side too. find somebody with a 220 with a 40 or higher duty cycle.

the cage was profesionally built by Chris Boyd... I didn't know if it was worth the trouble of buying the $20 bottle of argon to weld the body back on with anything to do with saftey I use my 220 stick welder it old but it works:D
