Quincy Raceways Tries New Late Model Event for Sept. 19.

Quincy Raceways will the Budweiser Late Model Shootout paying $1000 to Win and $175 to start for 15 or more cars or $700 to Win and $150 to start for 14 or less cars on Sunday September 19. The rules for the Late Model Shootout are designed in an effort to equalize competition between several different engine and tire combinations from IMCA, UMP and ULMA. If these rules are successful, they may be used for the remaining scheduled events at Quincy Raceways in the 2010 extended season. The rules may be adjusted following this event pending the outcome of competition within the Sept. 19 event.

Those rules for the Sept. 19th Late Model Shootout are as follows:

IMCA Spec Motor - IMCA Tire – 2350 Lbs

IMCA Spec Motor – LM40, D55 WRS, D55 WRS Spec 2 2450 LBS with 50 Added Lbs in Front of Motor Plate

ULMA Steel Head Motor - LM40, D55 WRS, D55 WRS Spec 2 – 2450 LBS

602 Crate Motor – LM40, D55 WRS, D55 WRS Spec 2 – 2200 Lbs

604 Crate Motor – LM40, D55 WRS, D55 WRS Spec 2 – 2350 Lbs

Grooving, Grinding, Siping Allowed, No Softening or Tire Treating Allowed

All Tires Must Durometer No Less than 55 at any time, No Tolerance

No Entry Fee, Sanction License or Track Registration Fee required.

Quincy Raceways will be hosting the Ideal Ready Mix Sprint Invaders in their next to last point’s race for the 2010 season on Sunday, Sept. 19 along with the Miller LIte UMP Modifieds racing for $500 to Win and UMP Points, Triple R Performance Engines IMCA Stock Cars $400 to Win and NO IMCA Points, and the Tim’s Machine Shop Hobby Stocks for $250 to Win.

Adults tickets are $15, Seniors $12, Students 11-15 $10, Kids 10 and under are Free, Family Pass (2 Adults & 2 Students) is $40, a savings of $10 over that night’s ticket prices. The Pit Passes will cost $25 for this event.
