Ragland Grabs MidWay Mod $$$ /White Headlines Sprint Feature

Lebanon,Mo.-Over 75 Raceteams checked into the LebanonMidwaySpeedway Sat Night For the Special Sat Night Shootout with extra money in the purse for all 4 classes.
The special event of the evening was the $1000 to win Modified feature where the winner was also going to have a spot in the Sept Modified Madness event.
A star studded field came down to take the green on the 25 lap event as Tony Jackson Jr and Eric Hudson brought the field down.Jackson grabbed the quick lead as Jamie Ragland,Hudson,Curt Rackers and Kevin Halderman followed quickly.On lap 2,Hudson and Ragland made contact on the frontstretch as both kept going.With the front pack tight,Jackson and Halderman were battling hard as Ragland had moved into 3rd place with Hudson dropping back to 6th.On lap 5,Jackson looped it in turn 1 giving-up the lead and putting Halderman into the top spot.On the restart,Veteran Steve Muilenburg began his drive to the front after starting 10th on the field and Terry Kirk began his battle for 5th with Curt Rackers.On lap 9,Ragland caught leader Halderman and took over the top spot as back row started Mike Montague and Bob Kerbs began a quiet move to the mid-pack as Rob Muilenburg began his charge to the front.With Ragland in control,Halderman was locked into second place as the yellow waved for Jackson spinning in turn 2 ending his night.On the restart,Ragland again jumped to a 5 car length lead as Halderman had Steve Muilenburg right on his bumper and Hudson coming quickly through the pack.Halderman,Muilenburg,Terry Kirk,Hudson and Rackers were all battling for position as now Montague and Kerbs were moving quickly.Early front runner Bob Test went by the wayside on lap 15 with rear-end problems.On the restart,Ragland again pulled ahead,as Halderman was battling S.Muilenburg,Hudson,Kirk,and Rob Muilenburg for position behind the leaders.On lap 19,Wayne Johnston and Brian Leason got together ending both good runs for those drivers as Rackers went by the wayside with problems.Lap
21 would see runner-up Halderman spin in turn 4,bringing out the yellow and moving Hudson into second place with Muilenburg challanging.As the white flew,Ragland opened up a half a straight away lead as Hudson and Steve Muilenburg fought hard for the runner-up spot with Terry Kirk and Rob Muilenburg rounding out the top 5.Mike Montague claimed the hard charger award recieving a paid entry into the Madness in Sept.from Springfield YellowCab.Bob Kerbs,Jimmy Willis,Halderman and Brian Brown completed the top 10.
The Winged Sprintcars would see Mike White start on the pole with Chad Johnson on his outside.At the drop of the green,\White shot to the bottom as Clint Todd,point leader Eric Todd,and Gabe Maycock followed.With White setting a quick pace,Clint Todd stayed glued close as Maycock,Jonathan Cornell,Eric Todd,and Ryan Schlender were swapping spots as 9th starting Ryan Rimel was making forward progress and contending.A quick Yellow for Chad johnson bunched everyone up and Clint Todd was applying pressure to leader White.
right b ehind this battle,Jonathan Cornell,Gabe Maycock,Eric Todd and Rimel were swapping spots.On lap 23 the yellow waved as front running Cornell and Ryan Schlender got together in turn 4 bunching up the field again as Eric Todd pulled into the infield with problems.On the restart,Clint todd shot to the outside as White continued to hold the low groove as Rimel moved around Maycock for 3rd place and Scott Wedelstadt and John rowland were making there pressence known moving into the top 5.As the checkered flew,White would edge Clint Todd for the win followed by Rimel,Maycock,Wedelstadt,Rowland,Steve Lawrence,Joe Todd,Matt Tatro, and Chad johnson in the top 10.
The FactoryStock feature had Todd Cook and Larry Prewett lead the field down,only to see Cook loop it in turn 2.On the restart,point leader Randy Berry brought the field down to take early control with Enduro July winner Bobbye Williams on his bumper.Late arriving FactoryStock front runner Tim Brown had started 15th in the field and was moving the Camaro to the front quickly.With Berry setting a fast pace,Travis Hill moved into second after Williams spun in turn 2.On lap 9,Brown had moved into second and was closing in on Berry,when Berry looped it in turn 1 giving Brown the lead as Larry Prewett was slicing through the field after changing a flat early in the race.Front runner Bobby Ratterree was also recovering from and early spin and coming quickly.On lap 13,Prewett had closed up on Brown,but Brown powered down the backstretch on the final lap in recording the win.Prewet,Williams,Ratterree,Hill,Berry,Glen Dismang,Ferrell Mansfield,Bill Scharr,and Sam Petty completed the top 10.
The Bomber feature had Missy Shaw jump out to the early lead with Richard Roberts on her bumper.Shaw kept control of the top spot until a yellow waved on lap 5.On the restart,Roberets made the move upstairs as Aaron York followed closely as new point leader Mike Piercey was moving forward.Roberts continued to keep down low as York worked the high-side for several lap.Behind this battle,Piercey,Dale Rodden, and early leader Shaw were swapping spots as now Tyler Brown was charging hard from the rear of the field.On lap 13,Roberts had York pull along side of him,but was able to hang on to his first ever win followed closely by York,Piercey,Rodden and Shaw in the top 5.
