Lebanon,Mo.-Over 100 Race Teams checked into the Double points night on the
clay oval at the LebanonMidwaySpeedway Friday Night with excellent racing
all around.
First in the SuperStock class donnie gennings jumped from his front row pole
spot and powered into the lead as point contenders Tony Jackson Jr and JC
Newell were charging hard from the back of the pack.On lap 6,Jackson powered
into the runner-up spot and set his sights on leader Gennings. From there the
crowd was on there feet all evening as Jackson tried several times to move
around leader Gennings as Newell had joined the fun also.Jackson tried
several attempts to move on the outside but Gennings held the low line while
Jackson moved to the low side.Newell was waiting in the wings for the
leaders to make a mistake.Up front Gennings continued to hold off repeated
challanges as Jackson shot back to the top in the last 3 laps.Coming to the
checkered off turn 4,Jackson went to the top then the bottom but Gennings
held off the charge to gather his first win of the season followed closely
by Jackson,Newell,Mark Davis and Randy Hill in the top 5.
The Winged SprintCars took to the Midway with Dustin Arnall setting the
early pace followed closely by Scott Wedelstadt and Steve Lawrence. An early
yellow for Lawrence,John Rowland and Keith Breedlove bunched the field up.On
the restart, leader Arnall spun in turn 2 giving Wedelstadt the lead while a
tight battle developed between J.Kinder,Eric Todd ,Joe Todd and Clint Todd.2
laps later Joe Todd stalled in turn 3 ending his night bunching the field up
with Wedelstadt setting a fast pace.Kinder and Eric Todd were battling for
position and on lap 9,Clint took over the lead.Kinder's night ended later
with overheating problems as Clint was long gone as Eric and Wedelstadt were
battling hard for position.Out front it was all Clint as he gathered the win
followed by last weeks winner Eric, early leader Wedelstadt,Matt Tatro in the
run all night, and early leader Arnall.
The Modifieds again proved another great Main Event as Jason Russell and
Curt Rackers brought the feild down for the green only to find a lap
1caution involving point leader Wayne Graybeal,Jack Jones,and Rex Sawyer.Up
front,Ruseell developed problems and Rackers jumped the cushion in turn 2
sending him tailback. On the restart,Jackson Jr took control with Jamie
Ragland and last weeks Eric Hudson,Donnie Fellers and a tight pack.On lap
8,Jackson spun in turn 2 giving the lead to Ragland with Hudson on his
bumper.Rackers was charging from the back of the field as Bob Test was in
contention all night long.On lap 12,Hudson was being patient and took over
from Ragland as Rex Merritt and Tim Brown along with Ted Van Zandt were
battling. With Hudson in control,Ragland cooled his tires and on lap 20 began
his charge to the front again as Rackers was now in the top 5 coming from
the rear.A caution on lap 23 set-up a great finish as Ragland shot to the
inside of leader Hudson on the restart as the duo went side by side.Heading
for the white flag,Ragland jumped down low as Hudson ran the middle.Going
into turn 2, Ragland got the better bite off the turn and edged Hudson for
the win followed closely by Bob Test,Curt Rackers, and Rex Merritt.

aquick pace with Dale Berry setting the early lead.Point leader Randy Berry
was close behind as last weeks winner Tim Brown had the hotrod Camaro coming
through the field. On lap 7,Todd Cook who started at the rear of the 15 car
field had charged into the top 5 and was challanging.Lap 8 would see Tim
Brown move around to take the top spot and hold on to gather the win
