Rain Postpones Talladega StormPay.com DLMS Race Until August 5

EASTABOGA, AL – Rain on Saturday night forced postponement of the StormPay.com Dirt Late Model Series event at Talladega Short Track until Saturday night, August 5. Rain began falling at the track during the drivers meeting. Officials tried to wait out the weather, but the precipitation continued until track officials deemed they lost the preparation of the race track.

The next swing for the StormPay.com Dirt Late Model Series will be a trio of races through Tennessee during the upcoming holiday weekend.

The first event will be a 40-lap, $2,000-to-win race at Duck River Speedway in Wheel, TN on July 1. The next stop will be a continuation of a May 26 rainout at Thunderhill Raceway in Lawrenceburg, TN on July 2. The 24-car line-up was set for the 50-lap, $3,000-to-win race on May 26.

The third event will be a two-day show highlighted by a 75-lap, $7.500-to-win main event at Clarksville StormPay.com Speedway in Clarksville, TN on July 3-4. The StormPay.com DLMS will compete in Qualifying and Heat Races on July 3, and the B-Mains and the Feature Race will be on July 4.
