Pevely, MO (July 27, 2008) The Tri-Track Challenge was originally scheduled for May 31st at I-55 Raceway, however, Mother Nature put a damper on the event just as hotlaps were set to get underway. The $6,000 to win event for UMP DIRTcar Late Models is all set for this Saturday, August 2nd. There is a special incentive for the two drivers that won the first two Tri-Track Challenge events earlier this season. Ken Schrader, who won the event at Paducah Int'l Raceway and Dennis Erb, Jr. who won the event at Macon Speedway, would earn a $10,000 bonus if either of the two win the event at I-55 Raceway. The $10,000 bonus has only been claimed one time in the previous five races and that was the inaugural season when Shannon Babb won all three events back in 2002.

Also racing will be UMP DIRTcar Modifieds which will be paying $700 to win, UMP DIRTcar Sportsman that will be paying $400 to win and UMP/AARA Pro 4 Stocks. Grandstand admission will be $20 with kids 12 and under free. Pit admission will be $30 for all ages. Gates open at 4pm with hotlaps at 6pm and racing at 7pm.

I-55 Raceway is located 30 minutes south of the St. Louis Arch on Interstate 55 in Pevely, MO. For more information, call 636-479-3219 or visit www.i55raceway.com.
