6:00pm-8:30pm
(All cars welcome)

Friday - Ready to race!!!!

Is the race still on or is the track under water
Back IN the day in Ohio the tracks would tell you at the beginning of the yr if you didn't come and run at least 2 regular shows in that class you were not allow to run the Money show at end of the year. This brought cars to the regular shows and set the field for regulars that supported the track.

Loved the show!!! Was an awesome night of racing in all classes. I did like the rule you originally went with but heard you caught so much nasty flack and understand why you revised it. My opinion...even if you make it an invitational youll have you complainers. Sad in todays world racers put promoters in such a positions. You would think with all the tracks closing they(not all just a select group) would appreciate the effort you and the sponsors do to keep these big shows coming. Heck it was as good as mod mania in my opinion!

Just a thought for next year. How bout if youve won a feature in a class higher than bmod (modified, late model, sprint) in the current season, that rules you as ineligible. No rule will make everyone happy but this might be the closest we get to making sense of this deal.

Again u have problems policing .. TCS would have to keep track of EVERY track in 100 miles as to who won features .. and how many years should they look back? 5 years, 1 year ... if u make a rule u have to have a way to police it FAIRLY for all drivers ... this race had guys from several states. This was a great turn out and a true bmod racer won ... why create problems when none exist ... JMO

They had drivers from IL, MO, TN and TX ... so they have to track all wins in upper classes from here to Texas ... and if they missed one and some computer nerd (after the fact) finds this out , then TCS is again the bad guy!

If bmod drivers/owners want this race to be ran by only bmod drivers then THEY should not let a modified, late model, sprint or higher driver race THEIR car ... problem solved. Racers r their own worst enemy when it comes to spending more money, bending rules etc ... doing anything to win!

Well i beleive the intent was to do it on an honor system. Yes honor system something kind of long forgotten but then it got really ignorant and out of hand. Its their track their rules. If that is what they wanted then that should have been the end of it and i totally understand the direction they wanted to go. Would it be hard to police? Yes! But i also beleive they hoped the drivers would kind of do that theirselves but totally disappointed me when i heard the really nasty ignorant text messages kevin started receiving. It didnt need to goto that point. If you didnt like their rule right or wrong noone was forcing you to attend that event. I dont agree with their b mods as a whole but does that mean i text kevin and demean him over it? He is one of the hardest working guys and calls the shots right down the middle ALL of the time and tammy couldnt be any better of a person as well. I agree it was a hard to police rule just makes me emberrassed to have fellow racers show their a$$'s that way and wasnt called for. With dwindling tracks and promoters this area is lucky to have these guys there and they get treated like that but then again its not the first time either. As far as a fellow bmod guy winning goodman is as good as it gets. Plenty of double duty guys were in the feature as well and if an a mod driver won im sure you would have people on here pointing that fact out as well Great post racer48 and i can see both sides
Of the fence but also the promoters harrassment was totally uncalled for as well

Just have the race and whomever shows can race. There is absolutely no fool proof way to make this an all bmod driver only race with out someone getting possibly left out. There were 87 bmods there. That's awesome for the promoter. That's about 30 or so more than I figured would be. How many of those guys would have not got an invite if this was an invitational? You never know who reads this site or track websites to check for races. You never know who is coming from near or far. There were many STL regulars who didn't show up. Don't complicate it just RACE. jmo

next year---------same as this year-show up with a (within the rules)b-mod-race it--makes things so much simpler for all-----------------------JMO
